Hadi is very hospitable and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas! Very neat and big. Quiet on the farm.
The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from Tulbagh. The views are absolutely amazing, and being able to see and experience farm animals with our three-year-old was special. The accommodation was lovely, modern, and well-equipped. Service was very good. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the quiet and serene break away from home.

The venue was just breathtaking, the photos do not do this place justice. On the first day we had a lovely host walk us through the venue and was at our call at any moment. I love a braai and a good view, and boy did this place have both! Going here with my partner really was amazing. The only thing is that the pool was a little green, but we as South Africans don't complain, so hey, it was still lekker! Can't wait to go back.

If you are looking for a break from the city in a place that gives you the feeling of a farm, Oude Tol is definitely the place. We were welcomed by Hadi who showed us a few things and reassured us that if we needed anything she was just a phone call away.
Lovely clean and tidy and beautiful view.
The Chalet was basic and a bit older but lovely and clean. We were comfortable. The shower pressure was a bit low and some real milk instead of creamer would have been great but other than that it was a lovely and safe place to stay over for the evening.
Lovely stay, topped off with a swim in the farm dam pool, and a walk up the mountain to the Tjoo-tjoo vista. We had a very comfortable stay.

The amenities are great, it's exactly what I wanted. The host is very friendly and helpful.
The owner is very friendly, willing to help and responds to messages almost immediately. The accommodation inside is clean and well-kept. It was so peaceful and lovely to wake up to the sounds of animals. The only issues were that we didn't have sufficient toilet paper and the shower pressure was very low. Would, however, definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Nice to relax on the farm, light a fire and admire nature.
We were 3 adults, a 10-year-old and a toddler. The place was very tidy and well spaced out so that we all had private space but great communal spaces too for meals and resting. Taking morning coffee and evening wine on the veranda to enjoy the view was a high point. Being able to walk around the farm area was lovely. Being near other towns but not in them was calm. Having lights on solar helped. The hostess was friendly and helpful.

Ou de Tol is an excellent escape from the city. It is a typical farm atmosphere. My kids really enjoyed it. They could even milk the cow in the morning, help sheep run to the corral etc. Something you just don't get anywhere else. Hadi is really very kind. I will definitely visit again. The house is spacious and has everything one needs.
This is a very neat cottage, well planned, ideal for two singles or two couples, as each bedroom is very private with its own bathroom. The middle room is spacious, with large windows overlooking the Tulbagh valley. There is solar power for lighting so the load shedding was not frustrating. A modern wooden sofa in the living room was lovely in the evening. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The Oude Tol is a historic place, dating back to the early 1700s.
Upon our arrival we were very kindly welcomed by Kobus. Our time was very wonderful it was only short. Very nice, clean place. the fireplace was the best, thank you very much Hadi and Kobus! We would definitely go back and highly recommend it!

The hostess was very friendly and considerate. We stayed in Bougainvilla Red. The unit is very spacious with a large open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms. Both the rooms and bathroom were fully equipped and very neat and clean. Outside the open room is a deck with a beautiful view of the farm and the animals.
The advertisement of the place is misleading as there is no pond on the farm. That was the big reason we wanted to stay there.

We were even more impressed by the horses on the farm. He will always treasure seeing a horse up close. She had never experienced this before. The people whom we met on the farm were friendly and gave us valuable information of the farm and its surroundings.
We came to Tulbagh to get away from busy city life and that's exactly what Oude Tol offered us. The mornings greet us with farm animals on our porch and greet us with a peaceful sunset. We were kindly received and shown to our place and everything was presented to us nicely and neatly. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our accommodation. The hostess, Hadi, went out of her way to accommodate us. The children could feed the lambs, which was a high point for them. The accommodation is very simple, but met all our needs.

We enjoyed our weekend at Oude Tol Farm's Eikeboom. The house is very large, with more than enough space to accommodate families comfortably. The yard is also fenced, for the safety of dogs and small waders who would like to play outside. The house has everything one needs and the fireplace is a bonus! We really enjoyed it, because it was just cold with the snow on the mountains. The house is very clean, even if it is an old farm house, which is simply furnished. We were spoiled with delicious biscuits and Cobus even stoked the fireplace on Friday evening before we arrived. Special service that you don't find everywhere! For us, privacy was a bit lacking. The entrance is shared with the farm owners and any of their family and guests who visit. The braai area is also directly at this entrance. Don't expect dead silence and lots of privacy. It is pet friendly, with the fence, just note that there are other dogs on the same lot, but there is a gate that separates the dogs. Our dog did enjoy her holes and barked at the sheep! Great weekend and stay overall.

What a lovely getaway on a farm. The Bouganvilla house is spacious, tidy and fully equipped. It is a peaceful, safe environment with nice walking trails on the farm. It was nice to sit on the porch and watch the sheep and cows graze in the field in front of the house. We would definitely recommend the farm for unadorned value for money and a peaceful holiday. We look forward to visiting there again.

It was a lovely, peaceful stay with all the necessary amenities away from home. Can be recommended for any one who does not want to stay in village conditions. Centrally located to experience a variety of attractions of the region.
I would gladly recommend By Oude Tol, especially for a family with small children. Ample space in and around the house. The highlight is the owners' friendly, easy-going yet professional service. Close enough to town to drive there easily, or to drive to attractions in the area.
