Cabanas Del Mar 78, is an apartment in a charming and secure residential complex located in Winklespruit, situated on the popular Sapphire South Coast. The complex is situated on the beach and only a short walk to the shops and a short drive to a huge shopping mall with cinemas, Funland, an ice rink and many restaurants and eateries to choose from.
This self-catering apartment is set on the second floor (no lifts) and sleeps up to 5 guests, preferably 4 adults and 1 child. It consists of an open-plan living area, with DSTV Premium package, a fully equipped kitchen and an open balcony with sea views. The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, stove, microwave, kettle and toaster and is fully equipped for self-catering for up to 5 people and an open plan dining area. The lounge area is equipped with comfortable couches and a big flat-screen TV.
The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has 1 single bed and 1 bunk bed (upper maximum 70 kg). The bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, basin and toilet. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms.
The complex has 2 heart-shaped crystal blue swimming pools and a kiddies pool. There are braai (barbecue) and seating areas to choose from and a lovely lawn to enjoy those tranquil evenings while the kids can enjoy the play area with jungle gym, slide and swings.
The complex has its own private gated entrance onto a protected swimming beach patrolled by lifeguards and shark nets. On our beach, you will also find great fishing areas on the rocks.
This apartment comes with one undercover shade parking in the complex and if required additional parking off-street depending on the availability of the spare parking. Trailer parking is also available by arrangement.
The complex has a well-equipped disc operated laundromat. During your stay, for your convenience and requirements, arrangements can be made at the office for a cleaning service at your own cost. Any breakages or losses incurred whilst being serviced will be deducted from the breakage deposit.

52 guests' feedbackPlace was clean and tidy. Just disappointed that there was not a toilet roll in the toilet or a dishcloth or swab in the kitchen. No dishwashing liquid or sponge to wash dishes. Luckily I carried dishwashing liquid and a sponge and toilet roll, but forgot about the dishcloth.

We fully enjoyed our own space in a nice and clean apartment. The pool was always clean and the distance from the beach was perfect.

The place is so clean and tidy just like in the advert but the owner should just look at the issue to get the place cooler. The 1st day we checked in, the electricity went off and it was so hot. Come on the owner should get a generator. Some of us are allergic to fans.
The bathroom was a bit not up to standard.
We enjoyed our stay. The sea view was beautiful. Customer service was excellent.
No aircon and we couldn't sleep because of the heat inside the rooms. The bed in the main bedroom is not comfortable at all, the bed causes a backache. No towels in the bathroom. The apartment was never cleaned until our departure. Wifi was not working. We hardly stay inside the apartment because it was not pleasant, the couch was not comfortable for us to relax on after a long day. I can't recommend Cabanas Del Mar 78 to anybody.
I mean a place right on beach should provide towels right? I was very disappointed having left my towels at home and now incurring an extra expense buying towels for kids. Thus place didn't even provide a simple dishwasher or soap, even dish towels, really? There were cocroaches at night, no aircorn for a place that is extremely hot. Wifi was there but not on seems like there was no data or something.

We had a nice time. Only towels and drying cloths are missing. The admin fee and deposit should also be included in the price, it is not convenient to pay them separately.
The second bedroom's bed is very short and large teenagter doesn't fit on it. No towels. No coffee, tea or milk for mornings.
The shower was not enjoyable. Water pressure was very low. Bathroom needs a make over.
The single beds are just damn small. The shower also had no pressure, making showering impossible. The men had a lot of trouble taking a shower.
We had a great time, place was peaceful day and night. Wonderful hosts, definitely will visit again.
We felt extremely at home in this unit. Everything is nice and neat. Close to the beach and beautiful, clean swimming facilities and beach. Great play area for young kids.
We were met onsite by the owners Sandy and Ron who welcomed us very warmly, they had even provided us with an assortment of fresh fruit and made sure there were toys available for my young nephew to play with. The accommodation was comfortable, everything was clean and fresh linen was supplied a week later. From past experience I normally pack half my kitchen as you never can find what you need, however, this time it was unnecessary as the kitchen was well equipped with all that you need, overall one of the best accommodations I have stayed in which made for a wonderful holiday!

We were welcomed on arrival (even though it was very late in the evening). The unit is beautiful and clean.
Make sure you understand you don't get R500 back from the deposit, but R300.
It was one of the most enjoyable holidays I have ever had at the sea. The place to stay is great and everything is so nice and tidy. The view of the sea from the balcony is enchanting and it gave us good exercise going up and down the stairs. It was very safe and all the shops nearby made it really convenient. The children's play area was very well looked after and it was really just a few steps then you were on the beach. We will spend our next holiday here again.
We found the apartment to be comfortable and neat. The view from the second floor is just like the photo. Peaceful atmosphere (outside of the peak season) and will recommend it. Ron and Sandy were very helpful and we found them to be pleasant people.
Will stay there again anytime. The stairs are not suitable for people that struggle. We take it as it comes.

Apartment is well equipped for 5 people. I struggled with the stove. If you put it on 1, you don't cook anything and on 2 you burn everything. The can opener can also perhaps be replaced, he is very old and it is difficult to work with him. Furthermore, we stayed nice and comfortable during the time we were there!

I stayed in Cabanas del Mar in June 2016 with my friends. We were impressed how clean the house was and it had everything! We will definitely be coming back. The place is beautiful and a real value for money.
