Calitzdorp has so much more to offer than just a drive by on the R62. You will discover more about this friendly place if you spend a bit of time here. Looking forward to our return visit.
Andrew and Nell are amazing people who spoiled us out of our socks! The breakfast and fine cuisine country dining were top notch. It was an experience and fun for the soul! The sunsets are just incredible from the porch! Hospitality, luxurious accommodation, excellent food, beautiful surroundings. What more do you need now? An absolute gem of a place!

This is with out doubt a beautiful area but the experience was all the more enjoyable because of our stay at Calitzdorp Country House. What stood out for us was the quality furnishing which was chosen with thought and tastefully arranged. The hosts were both interesting to talk to and attentive to our needs. Example being: we arrived late in the day on a Sunday and had made no arrangements for an evening meal, yet Nell went the extra mile and her food cannot be faulted.
The rooms are spacious with good sized bathrooms and our stay was very comfortable.

The only thing better than the facilities and the service, is Nell's unbelievable food. Will strongly recommend it to anyone who's looking for accommodation in that town. Wonderful people, service, facilities and meals in stunning, safe facilities.
We slept 2 nights at Calitzdorp Country House and had a wonderful stay. Spacious, beautifully furnished room with a king size bed and bathroom with nothing missing. Delicious breakfast! Hospitable people!
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large bathrooms, spacious showers. Very nice swimming pool with view over valley. Only downside, place is located outside the town, and there is no lockable entrance gate, so everything has to be loaded from vehicle.
