I would happily recommend Camphor Tree House to anyone who wants to explore Grabouw - very well located and the facilities are of high quality! Even in winter it was more than pleasant. The table by the built-in braai will make many memories for everyone. Thank you, we will visit again!
Each room creates space to breathe and still enjoy each other's presence. It is so much bigger than the pictures convey. The kitchen is even a nice gathering place while you cook. It was nice to explore a new environment from such a lovely home. Definitely a home away from home!
Fabulous accommodation. Central location for activities in Grabouw Elgin.
It was like something out of a fairy tale. Very neat and hospitable. Didn't feel like a resort, but felt like home. Could feel the warmth in the house, that there is a lot of love reflected in the house. Wish could stay longer. In vain, reality calls you back from your dream world. I will definitely use the place again.
Wonderful house with everything you need. We were there in the winter and slept nice and warm. There were electric blankets and a fireplace.
The property was absolutely delightful. Neat, clean, spacious, and cottage-like, yet modern. The furniture was very comfortable with lovely touches in the kitchen. I loved the separate kitchen sink area. The bathroom was also lovely with a spacious shower. There was a beautiful solid wooden table in the lounge area. The only downside was the musty smell coming from the cupboard, which seemed to affect the linen.
We had a great time at Camphor Tree House. It is beautiful and tidy with everything you need for a short break.
Being a couple + 1 adult, a second bathroom would have been most welcome.

Camphor Tree House felt very like home. It is equipped with everything one needs and more! Two fireplaces, absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend this place for any kind of stay, be it business or leisure.
The stay at Camphor Tree House was just what we needed. The house is very cosy and decorated just to perfection. We felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils you would need. The beds were very comfortable and the block-out blinds were an added bonus to sleep in a little later than usual. Our host, Stephanie, was also amazing. She gave clear directions and information regarding our stay. We loved every bit of it. Will definitely come back.
The house is very spacious, cosy and comfortable. Various touches to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The house is secure, has wifi, and a great braai area. There is a lovely garden as well. There were lamps in the rooms for load shedding and even electric blankets on the beds. A gas hob in the kitchen as well. Our host, Stephanie was most helpful and friendly. Altogether a wonderful weekend getaway, and we will be back.

Stephanie was very accommodating. We enjoyed the space of the house and garden. There was a lack of anything in the house and it didn't even feel like we were in Grabouw. Would definitely recommend and book again myself.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Camphor Tree House. Well equipped and tastefully furnished.
A lovely large house with the most wonderful and comfortable bedrooms, spacious eating and relaxing areas as well as a well-equipped large kitchen. There was a lovely garden too. All arrangements were made via WhatsApp well ahead of time and worked perfectly. The only issue was the house seemed to be in a slightly less than desirable area, albeit quiet later on, I ended my evening walk early.
We were amazed at the incredible value this place offers. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Arrangements went smoothly, everything and more for our comfort, coffee, tea, etc., electric blankets against the cold, flashlights and gas stove against load shedding, fireplace inside, very neat.
Value for money, the house was bigger than we expected inside and out, everything was there that was needed, the hostess is very friendly.

We visited Camphor Tree House with friends and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the place, it's rooms, lounge and garden. It’s a beautiful space to rest in and very comfortable for 6 people. The owner was very helpful with the check in process and we would definitely book this place again!
Beautiful house with spacious rooms. Looks like you can have a great time around the big table at the indoor barbecue. Next time we will stay longer so we can take advantage of it.

We had such a wonderful stay in Camphor House. The house is beautiful. So tastefully decorated with all mod cons. Beds are so comfortable with lovely bedding. The house is warm and so welcoming with a beautiful garden and so much space. The location is wonderful for exploring the beautiful valley of Grabouw and Elgin where there is so much to do. It exceeded all our expectations and we will definitely be back.

The owner is aware of the braai, which unfortunately smokes a lot. A possible solution is to lengthen the chimney to improve draft. It is also possible to attach a hook for barbecue equipment.
It was the neatest, nicest, most spacious guest house I've ever been in. The cold was a bit of a bother, but there was plenty of wood and fire-making facilities.
