It was breathtaking. We will definitely stay there again next year.
It is very safe for the children at the play area. They enjoyed the animals and space so much, the mini-Zipline was also a highlight for them. The staff received us kindly and were later very helpful with other of our requests. The room is well equipped and is also neat and clean. It was nice and close to the Cango Caves that we went to visit. Thanks for the nice visit, we will do it again.

It feels very safe and I loved the wild life and horses in their different camps.
The peaceful setting by the river with big trees, lots of shade, big green lawns and a lovely flower garden was just what we needed. The wild animals grazing tamely contributed to a pleasant experience as well as the friendly and good service of the staff at the guest house and at the restaurant.
It was a fantastic weekend and the service is excellent. Extremely hospitable, friendly, patient and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Cup of coffee after waking up on the porch with the most beautiful view of greenery, bunnies running around, hopping. The beautiful sounds of the birds chirping and the teddy bear woofing and then the peaceful sound of the river water flowing downstream. Was probably the most beautiful, nicest place we have ever visited. The place is pretty neat and laid out inside.
The visit was so much more than I expected. The photos did not do the location justice and if I could have stayed longer I would have. Will definitely want to book again.

Cango is very well located between the mountains with a very pleasant environment. The premises are spacious so that guests are not close to each other. Very well located relative to Oudtshoorn, caves and various nature trails and places in the area.

Everything was perfect, neat, clean and livable. Hot water was not very hot, not that it was a problem for us but it just needs to be looked at especially now for the winter season. Other than that, it was very nice.

Cango Accommodation Units are excellent value for money. It is well located, well laid out, in a beautiful setting, very neat, very carefully maintained.
The breathtaking surroundings, the resort itself with its bunny farm, forest-like smell of moss and herbs, swimming pool and fishing pond, the sparkling clean and comfortable residential units - all fine! We only stayed one night after attending a concert in Oudtshoorn, but can't wait to break away for at least a weekend and clear our heads. One important point of criticism: On the website, the accommodation is listed under the name Cango Accommodation Units, but there are no such road signs or even a sign on the road at the turn-off. Only at the entrance this name stands smaller under the familiar name "The Old Mill", for which there are clear road signs. If the visitor does not know the area and is unsure, they will focus on the road (like us) and drive back and forth twice until they come across someone on the road who they can ask for directions (like us). It would help a lot if these facts could be highlighted in the description of the resort, and also in their correspondence with the guest after booking. I only give customer service 3 stars because of this confusion, and the manager's lack of response/interest when I mentioned it. The rest - unbeatable!

Two friends and my 13-year-old daughter's girl's getaway. Peaceful, cozy tents with aircon and electric blankets for those cold nights. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is amazing.
We really enjoyed it. Very neat accommodation with a nice view. I would just suggest that they remove the part where they mention that you get free entry to an ostrich show, as we were told that is not the case.
We spent one night here and it was a welcome resting place. We had enough space in the family unit, slept well and the children really enjoyed the bunnies and play area. We did struggle to find the accommodation at first. The signs at the entrance are a bit confusing - it first reads De Oude Meul and at the bottom of the sign Cango Accommodation Units.

I found the menu to offer very little, breakfast was slow.

Cango Accommodation Units are ideally situated if you are wanting to explore the Oudtshoorn area. The accommodation is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. If you have kids, young or older, the venue has plenty to keep them busy and safe. Kids can go into the bunny enclosure to feed and pet the bunnies. There are also goats, ostriches, sheep, deer and lots of bird life to see without leaving your porch. Stunning!
This was not the first time we have stayed here and will go back again and again! It is beautiful and very neat. The units are very well equipped and the space is lovely. There is lovely silence and peace there! The bunny camp and play area is a winner for the kids! We didn't know about the children! Could also relax wonderfully with friends around the pool. The braai is a bit small but the owners were very accommodating in making a bigger braai drum available for us. It's a beautiful place! Would recommend again any day!

Perfect setting just outside of Oudtshoorn about 10 km from the Cango Caves. Everything you need for self catering. Great for kids of all ages. My son loved playing with the bunnies. Nice restaurant but quite pricey.

Neat, tasteful, and contained one bedroom accommodation overlooking a dam nestled between the mountain folds of the Swartberg foothills. No kitchenette only tea and coffee-making facility. The restaurant on the premises caters for all palettes. Super friendly service from everyone. Breakfasts were sumptuous and plenty of local preserves to savour.
The directions inside the grounds are not clear - Cango Accommodation Units are only indicated at the gate - worker gives wrong information. No detergents and cloths washed in kitchen. Also had a great meal at the restaurant!
We had a very nice stay and everything, especially the breakfast, was perfect. Just one thing that bothered us was the smell of the shower water. It really didn't smell nice and just got worse with time.

It's by far one of the most amazing places I've been to in the Western Cape. If only it was for holiday and not work, a must to go to.
We were squeezed into a unit for two, we were three as arranged from the beginning with breakfast, on arrival we were apparently not set up for breakfast, our layout was only for two and when we asked for the third person the staff were not friendly , we booked dinner for three, but the table was set for only two. To be honest not a good overnight stay. The premises and restaurant are beautiful and tidy, but my discussion with the manager on arrival was stormy.
Very convenient if you intend going to Cango Caves. Units are spacious and the huge garden is beautifully maintained. As a family of 4 we had booked a self-catering unit. On the description it said that it had a kitchenette which it didn't. Nothing else than the usual kettle. We had to go to the on-site restaurant instead which was a bit pricey but nice. Overall a place to recommend.

We found Oude Meul to be a truly beautiful place. The accommodation was first class. The restaurant is truly beautiful and we enjoyed a candle-lit dinner on the outside deck. The food was excellent and beautifully presented and the prices reasonable. The next morning we enjoyed a generous buffet style breakfast. All in all we had a wonderful stay and only wish we had the time to have stayed longer. It is situated very close to the Cango Ostrich Farm and also a short distance from the Cango Caves.
