The stay was good. The bathroom is very small, and the kitchen and bathroom sinks make it hard to wash hands or dishes without splashing the floor. There was no mop to clean up spilled water on the floor. The sink tap also only had cold water, meaning dishes are washed with that or we must use the kettle to boil the water to use. The kitchen sink stopper did not work, so the option of boiling water and mixing it with the cold tap water was not viable. There was not a large bowl to use to wash as an alternative. The area is quiet and wonderful. The only issue is that we were not aware the room we were taking would have these challenges, and the shower drain seemed to be blocked as water pooled at our feet as we showered and took a long time to drain out. We had asked that there be no housekeeping, but someone came and did it and reorganised the way we had things in the room. We ended up not trusting if our opened foods were compromised or not and could not trust them for further consumption. We do not make use of domestic help, and getting one unrequested is quite disconcerting. The host was gracious and gave us all we needed for our purposes.
There was no hot water for shower/bath, apparently because there were people working on the pipes on Saturday and turned off the geyser. The hostess did not realize this. Pretty annoying when you come back late and want to shower and get into bed.

Cape Goodness lives up to its name. The cottage is incredibly beautiful. Everything was there that needed to be there and everything works. The garden is a feast for the eyes and invites you to relax and unwind after a busy day. Rene is very nice and makes you feel welcome.

We stayed over for 2 nights. Everything we could need was available in the unit. We slept nice and warm and there were extra blankets in the cupboard if needed. Vehicle is also safely parked overnight in a closed garage, but the area itself is very quiet. It's a stone's throw away from Tygervalley Mall which is also a bonus.

The stay, location and place itself was amazing. We had a blast. It is very cosy and a great stay even if you staying along or with a partner. A great way to just get away and enjoy the Goodness. Anything I would give advice on is getting a two plate stove as one cant place a pot on the coils as it will burn the pot.
Place was neat, everything we needed was there. I just wasn't happy that someone was inside the place to tidy up while we weren't there, we weren't warned either. Would have appreciated it if we were warned.
We had a very nice stay, but I will not go to Cape Goodness again. The very first day when we got there, we were told that we still owed 50% of the deposit. We have already paid 100% of the money on the website from the beginning. The shower is broken and the door doesn't close, so when you shower a lot of water falls out the side. The next day we had a bath and then we were told we were using too much water, because the other people staying on the premises also use the same geyser water. Nor are there any dish towels in the kitchen when washing dishes to dry.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom, especially the shower, was very small! It is close enough to town to enjoy Cape Town's attractions.
Will preferably stay at another place next stay. Packaging poor.

Literally 10 mins drive from Tygervalley Mall and also Willowbrigde Mall, and very close to a newly built Spar. About 2 min. Hostess very friendly and lovely, always willing to help. Definitely my place to stay from now on.

We were pretty up and down on our trip, and this unit was a nice place for us to switch off and enjoy each other's company. The living room is incredibly well equipped and the decor of the entire unit looks like something out of a period piece. We didn't spend much time doing activities there, but the option of barbecuing - with an indoor braai that works fantastically in winter, as well as a swimming pool for the warm weather, makes this little place more than just a place to rest. on a nice busy getaway.
