The accommodation is very neat and very private. Spacious rooms and bathrooms.
Lovely accommodation. The only issue is not having a door to the bathroom for privacy. The bathroom extractor fan should also be separated from the light switch. The pillows in the room are also very very hard and uncomfortable. Other than those small issues the stay was great.

One would think that because the guest house is near the main road, that the noise would bother you, but it didn't bother at all.
Unfortunately didn't have knives and plates during breakfast to spread and place cookies.

Disappointed that they did not provide breakfast as expected. They only unpack boxes of porridge, boxes of biscuits and instant coffee. Believe because Covid. They may instead give the option since you are paying for bed and breakfast. There is not even a cloth in the kitchen area. Cement floors in bathroom seriously need a cleaning or repainting on edges. It appears dirty and brown.

The place to stay is beautiful. Just a pity you pay full price without breakfast, COVID-19, and no compensation.
Casa Cara helped us on short notice. The room had been private and peaceful. Garden cushions can be recommended so that one can sit on the steel bench outside. A hook at the outdoor shower is also necessary so that there is room for a towel. Breakfast could not be served due to Covid, it was a shame because the room is still the same price. Furthermore, it is close to the village, the place was clean and tidy and nice and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you very much for the nice weekend.

Casa Cara Guest House offers you the comforts and convenience of a boutique hotel in the city linked to the tranquillity and friendliness of the countryside. The friendly and professional staff round off the picture beautifully. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed with access to built-in cupboards, small bar fridge, TV and lounge area. The bathrooms were a dream with enough space - the inside is big enough for 2 people and the outside shower is a refreshing experience. Even the ablution facilities at the pool were spacious and beautifully equipped. Although there were guests in and around the pool, one could not hear them inside the rooms and it was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to meet our various needs. This gem is definitely recommended.

Our stay was comfortable and we slept well. A little attention could be given to breakfast, soft eggs were hard and the water pressure in the room is very weak. Maybe out of your control. All in all 5 star!

We would recommend Casa Cara with the greatest pleasure for overnight accommodation or even for longer stays. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hospitality gets a ten out of ten from us and I think in the summer months it would be great to relax by the pool. Thank you very much, we had a lovely stay and great food.

We had a great stay in Casa Cara, no problem, great service from the time we arrived to the time we left. Room very neat and well furnished. Bathroom clean and stylish. Als was just well maintained.
My husband and I were there for the weekend for a wedding. Our room was very neat and clean and had everything we needed.. The cups for the coffee are just terribly small, would have liked bigger coffee mugs. Breakfast was delicious and we felt very safe there.

I booked a standard room and were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was really good. Just regretted only being notified upon departure that we could have had breakfast at the lodge if we had preferred to do so. Since this is not in the town centre, the atmosphere is peaceful. The shops and restaurants were still close even though not walking distance.

Great stay. Just had to ask kitchen staff for hot water every morning (the flask was empty every morning) we also had to ask for butter, only marmelade on the tables, no jam. Would be advisable to place the butter, jam, etc in a cetral spot with the rest of the food so guests can help themselves.
I visited Parys for a wedding. Casa Cara was listed as one of the possible places to stay at. We weren't disappointed. We were two couples, each with our own room. The Saturday morning the one room didn't have electricity or water. Casa Cara's staff acted quickly to solve the problem. The source of the problem was not on the premises. The municipality was able to solve it quickly. Parys is the ideal break away opportunity if you're from Pretoria and boasts various interesting little shops and sights. Lovely cafes with delicious snacks.

Rooms 10 and 12 were booked. The rooms get full afternoon sun which will only be a bonus in winter. A suggestion is that guests bring their own lock (padlock) to lock the door to the courtyard at night for extra security as locks are not provided.
We made the booking through LekkeSlaap/TravelGround and everything was done professionally. We were impressed with the follow-up and extra information. We wanted to go away for our 40th anniversary and both Casa Cara and LekkeSlaap/TravelGround's staff made it a pleasant experience with their special arrangements. Casa Cara's units are spacious and clean, well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The safe parking was a bonus. Breakfast was fresh, and on the same standard as most of the other B&Bs we've stayed at. The only thing bothering me was that the airfilter in unit 10's bathroom made a noise when the light was on. Would recommend both LekkeSlaap/TravelGround and Casa Cara for a peaceful time in Parys. An information sheet e.g. a map with shops and activities at reception would be handy.
The guesthouse is close to the main street in Parys and easy to find. The service was friendly and breakfast the next morning was delicious! For the price I paid, I expected a little more. Please note that the Superior Room looks out onto the swimmingpool with restricted privacy if you don't keep the curtains closed.
The guest house is well equipped, safe, spacious and tidy. We just felt that compared to some of the other guesthouses we've been to, the price is a bit high.
It wasn't unpleasant. Reception was friendly. But there were half-drunk bottles of water in the fridge and no milkies for our coffee. No towel for before the shower/bath and only 1 hand towel between the 2 of us in the superior suite. No soap in the bath either, only in the shower. Breakfast was nice.
Things that hinder: Large bathroom with two showers but only one has hot water. Little garden in front of the room is very nice but bushes stand hip height in beds. A better quality instant coffee would also be welcomed but for the rest, very nice stay.
We were on honeymoon. Compared to the other places we stayed at, Casa Cara was very nice, but we felt we had many better and more beautiful amenities at other places (for the price paid). And we paid a little less at some of the other places too. They certainly went to trouble with the "honeymoon décor" etc. but our shower was blocked and there was no bathroom sink. They then fixed the shower drain, but never put the "cover" back on the drain, so one showered with a hole in the floor. We couldn't even light the candles as we were afraid of spillage. Casa Cara advertised a Jacuzzi, but it was full of leaves and covered (one could see it isn't used often). At other places we stayed, we were told exactly how to use Jacuzzi, it was already hot when we arrived. All in all, it was a nice stay, breakfast was nice, but we'll not easily stay there again because we honestly felt it's not value for money compared to other places.

We have stayed at Casa Cara Guest House several times and it is our first choice when it comes to accommodation in Paris. Not only is it basically located on the main street of Paris, but it's easy and quick to get to any of Paris' attractions. All the rooms we stayed in have a private entrance to a small garden. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious with all the essentials. Even for a romantic evening away I would recommend Casa Cara Guest House (ask for room 14 with the outdoor shower and Jacuzzi) See you on our next visit!

We had a warm welcome upon arrival and they showed us our room. The room was beautiful, clean and neat with beautiful decor. It is a beautiful place with a clean swimming pool, tranquil and value for money. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and once again thank you to the staff who gave up their Christmas morning to make us and many other guests feel welcome and get us on our way.
