House rules

Smoking:
- No smoking in the house. Guests may smoke on the patio.

Electricity & Public Disturbance:
- No house parties are allowed.
- No noise is allowed from 22:00 - 08:00.
- No public disturbances are allowed. No loud music is allowed. A penalty of R2000 will be charged.
- Please do not waste electricity. Switch off all air-conditioning and lights when going out.
- No outside lights are permitted through the night. A penalty of R1000 will be charged. Switch off all lights at night when guests go to sleep. Prince’s Grant has a a no light pollution policy.

Beach:
- Please be extremely careful when swimming as currents may be strong at times.
- For safety, lifeguards are on duty at South Beach (holiday seasons only) from 08:00 to 17:00 daily.
- Swimming is at your own risk when swimming if there are no lifeguards.

Water:
- All waste water is disposed of by way of septic tanks.
- Please ensure that no foreign material is disposed of in the toilets, showers, baths or basins.
- Please use water wisely.

Driving and Parking on the Estate:
- The speed limit on the estate is 30 kph, unless otherwise indicated. Speeding penalty: R500
- Wildlife, pedestrians, cyclists and golf carts have right of way.
- Caravans and trailers must be parked within a closed garage or at a designated parking area.
- Parking per house is limited to the number of parking spaces available at the respective houses. Do not park in front of a neighbouring house.
- Overflow parking areas are available.
- No motorcycles, two or four wheels, are allowed on the Estate.
- No obstruction of any road or illegal parking is permitted.
- No persons other than those in possession of a valid drivers license are permitted to drive a golf cart on the estate, the golf cart will be impounded and a fine of R250 must be paid to release.
- The number of adults per golf cart is limited to the number of seats of that golf cart.
- No riding whilst standing on golf carts are permitted. This includes strapping children into the space intended for golf bags.
- No reckless driving or driving in prohibited areas is permitted. Penalty: R500.

Firearms & Fireworks:
- No firearms or fireworks may be discharged on the estate. Penalty: R500.

Laundry:
- No garments or washing of any kind may be hung out or placed in an area including the golf course, that is visible to the public. Penalty: R1000.

Monkeys & Wild Animals:
- Please be mindful that there is a large number of vervet monkeys on the Estate and they can become a nuisance. For this reason, guests are requested to kindly ensure that they close all windows and doors when not in the residence.
- Please do not feed the monkeys or any wild animals. Penalty: R2000.
- Do not harm any wild animal, reptile or bird. Penalty: R1000.
- Call security for assistance if guests experience any problems.
- Fishing and the removal of live bait and crustaceans from the ocean and lagoon requires a valid permit obtainable from the Post Office.

Dams & Lagoon:
- Swimming in the dams is prohibited.
- Motorised craft eg. skiboats, Jetskis etc. are not permitted on the lagoon. Penalty: R1000.
- Fishing in dams is only permitted before 06:00 and after 18:00 on a catch-and-release basis only.

Persons per house:
- Overcrowding of homes is not allowed, please adhere to maximum occupancy as indicated or else a penalty of R4000 will be issued.
- Per house - 2 adults plus 1 child under the age of 6 years per bedroom is permitted unless prior consent has been received from the GM of the PGHOA in special circumstances, where the number is exceeded.

Refuse:
- No person is to leave any refuse and/or refuse bin on the verge or in any place visible to the public. Penalty: R500.

Golf Course:
- No practicing on the golf course or playing without paying permitted. Penalty: R500.
- Non-golfers must be cautious of the golf course and must adhere to the warning signs.

- To report any lost or found items, kindly contact Security.
