It's a lovely place to get the family together and also a very safe and very nice location.
Casa Del Sol is like a "Retirement Village". There are 5 of so retired permanent residents in the complex. We were a rowdy bunch and quickly got into trouble for being too loud, so if you're visiting with friends and are a rowdy bunch, I would suggest you look somewhere else. The pots and pans are all old, some are bent and dented but are functional. The pressure cooker came in handy a few times. The ceiling fans in the lounge and spare room with double bed barely function at full speed. The bed in the main bedroom looks terrible and sounds even worse. It is the size of a king-size bed with two 3/4 thin mattresses on a wooden structure that is getting old. On the plus side and this really counts because you are there to have a holiday and relax. Out the back door and into your neat garden you are greeted with the amazing sounds of the waves crashing on the beach and rocks, the beach being literally a 3 or 4 min walk away. The views of the ocean and the waves crashing on the rocks were so soothing. Lovely views while having a lekker social braai.
Very safe especially with small children everywhere is closed. Very peaceful environment and nice view of the sea. Enjoyed it a lot. Will definitely go on holiday there again.
Will consider staying here again for vacation.
Would definitely recommend Casa Del Sol for a family stay by the sea. The house is nice and big, with enough space for everyone, but the outside porch, with private garden and sea view was definitely the winner for us. It's wonderful to be able to sit on the veranda in the evening, with the roar of the sea in the background and the children playing on the lawn outside, while there is a barbecue. It's definitely a home-away-from-home!
Some of the kitchenware is old and used up and it may be time to replace, the microwave and oven very old.
Nice and quiet, right across from a private, small beach. The unit is comfortable with an outside garden for small children. This is my 2nd visit.

We enjoyed it very much, the place is very well equipped for a family, we had a great stay. During the period we were there it rained an awful lot, I would have liked a freestanding laundry rack or a drying rack on the bathroom wall in the unit so you could hang your towels and wet clothes while it rained, but other than that it is small very well equipped.
We were 6 ─ 2 small children, 2 children, grandmother and grandfather. Was great to see and smell the sea. Think it just needs to be a bit more disable-friendly towards the pool. We had a great time.
The complex was right for our family. Only the people in the complex were not so friendly, plus there was no indication of the rules.
We had a great stay, it was comfortable, clean, private and quiet. Very close to the sea. The washing machine and dishwasher are a bonus and helped a lot to keep everything tidy.

The unit is well located and secure. For those of you who want to be near Margate in Dec but avoid the influx of visitors it's just perfectly situated. It is a comfortable walk to the beach and tidal pool although the direct beach does not have lifeguards the teenagers could swim there as well as fish. The unit has a spacious kitchen and lounge area and is equipped with a dishwasher and the necessary kitchen items. The 2 bedrooms with double beds are comfortable and spacious. The extra room with 2 bunk beds is tiny and the airflow is not great so we moved one of the mattresses to the lounge which worked well. The bathroom is a good size and the extra guest toilet with 5 of us was useful. The washing machine was a winner as we needed to travel light and were able to wash the necessary clothes and towels. Outside is the covered patio area which is comfortable should it rain. The braai area is great and has a lovely view of the sea. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go there again.
It was a very nice place to stay. Neat and clean. Close to beach.
