Cathkin Haven is located on a security estate, Cathkin Estate, in the Champagne Valley of the Drakensberg. It is ideal for a family looking for a comfortable and tranquil breakaway, away from city life.

The modern home sleeps 8 guests and comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms of which 3 of the 4 bathrooms both have baths and a shower. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds and two bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds that can be converted into king-size beds. The living area is open-plan and the kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer. The lounge has a flat-screen TV with full DStv and a slow-combustion wood fireplace ideal for those cold winter nights. Leading out from the living area through sliding doors is a patio with comfortable furniture and beautiful views of Champagne Castle and Cathkin Peak.

The unit is serviced before arrival and after departure. A daily cleaning service is available at an additional cost on request. Laundry facilities are situated in the garage, with hanging space located in a small outside room near the kitchen.

The garage is big enough for 2 vehicles. It has an interleading door to the foyer of the house. The patio leads to a wooden deck with a Jacuzzi. Guests have access to a Weber and portable outdoor braai. The gas braai is available during winter months when open fires are not allowed.

During loadshedding an inverter supplies power to the TV and as well as the Wi-Fi. Special downlights are installed in all the rooms of the house, and the bedside lamps in the bedrooms also have globes to ensure that guests have lighting during load shedding.
