We have 4 bedrooms which is being used for overnight guests. The rooms are clean and very spacious and comfortable. Every room has it's own bathroom and own entrance which opens up on a veranda and small garden.
All rooms are en-suite with a private entrance and lead into the beautiful tranquil little garden with a splash pool. There is a large veranda where guests can enjoy something to drink. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are available in all rooms. Safe and secure parking is available. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning.

Everything I needed was there. The hostess was also very helpful. The room was only cool, but the air conditioning solved the problem. There was load shedding, but with a lamp it was no problem either. I will definitely stay there again.
I was without hot water for 2 nights and when I finally got hot water, it was difficult to get the right shower temperature. It was a struggle to find the right temperature - either you burn yourself red or you freeze. It was said they would turn on the generator for the last hour of load shedding, but that never happened. I slept there for 4 nights.
Very quaint, very well looked after.
The bathroom is a make-shift chipboard partition and the board in the shower is not tiles, it is all cracked.
This accommodation is beyond poor and should be removed from the website.
I had a great time at Cathy's Guests House I enjoyed myself, the people that are working there were very nice to me.

Hospitable people. Could possibly think about letting guests know ahead of time that soap, shampoo, fresh milk and biscuits are not available.
Although the guesthouse was clean and tidy and adequate for someone looking for a place to stay, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, simply because I think there are better guesthouses in town for a similar price. Parking is also very small and problematic if there is more than one vehicle.
Old type house friendly host, place just old and needs upgrading, safe parking across the street. Prefer vehicle to your sleeping place.
We didn't have hot water for showering and the WiFi didn't catch up in our room and I still had to work (I hotspot from my phone).
This was a lovely stay, spotlessly clean, very good value for money. Loved sitting on the stoepie overlooking the pretty garden in the afternoons. Anny has promised to fix the shower in the Gold Room which caused some inconvenience. But otherwise I had a lovely stay.

Received very friendly and excellent service from hostess and host. All that was negative was when I booked through the website I asked for bed and breakfast. Breakfast was not included in the price and would rather have paid for it in advance.

We slept nice and warm with a nice warm electric blanket that was already on for us despite the cold. Everything was clean and tidy. Didn't need anything more. Would only recommend a shower door instead of the curtain. But otherwise experience no problems. Can be recommended for overnight stays.
The room was small and quaint, which was perfect for what we needed for the night. Centrally located in Cradock. Owners were very friendly and accommodating.
It's a lovely place to stay for a smaller group of guests. The braai area is comfortable and the small pool was refreshing and inviting. I would like bath mats instead of towel as a bath mat, and since it's self-catering, I just wish there were better guidelines on how the dishes work. It is all washed and cleaned. Drying cloth or 2 in the room could help (sometimes you use all the cups, want to rinse them and then need a drying cloth). Small hand soaps in the bathroom would also be good. Otherwise really a very friendly environment. The communal garden is lovely and so well looked after.

Ideal for overnight, because of its central location. We were warmly welcomed and had a convenient room. Our dog was welcome too.
A very helpful host.
Not a friendly welcome, like they forgot we were coming. In one of the rooms the bed was u-shaped, horrible quality mattress. In the other room were cockroaches. We left at 7 in the morning without breakfast because we didn't want to stay any longer.
Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed very kindly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Very calm.
We arrived there late in the evening, but it was no trouble for the people, they received us kindly and warmly. Even went out of their way to help us with questions and directions. We will definitely visit Cathy's Guest House again. Thank you very much for a nice weekend.
Well equipped room with small fridge and microwave. Would like to see plates and small porridge bowls there. The double bed's mattress is hollow and sleeping is difficult. Furthermore everything in order with safe parking.
