The Mill Cottages are wood and iron cottages built in the 1900s as mill manager houses for the Caversham Mill. Every possible effort has been made to keep and preserve the original style in order to maintain their historical heritage. The outside walls are made from mud and clay bricks and have wooden poles for support. The floors and ceilings still have the original Oregon wood. The cottages are surrounded by tall trees and huge azaleas, allowing for seclusion and privacy.
Each cottage has a log fireplace for warmth on chilly Natal Midlands winter evenings and there is a lounge with TV and a dining room in each cottage. Each kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, stove and oven facilities. Braai facilities with wood are also provided. The cottages are serviced daily.
Laundry facilities are available for guests wishing to have their laundry done at a minimal charge.

Beautiful gem in the heart of Natal's Midlands. Unit is tastefully furnished with everything you need and more. The hostess is great and made us feel special. Highly recommend the place.
What a little gem! A lovely, well-appointed, comfortable cottage with all the basics you need. The view from the balcony is food for the soul, and the walk down to the river is a must! It's just a pity we could only stay for one night. It would make a great base to explore the surrounding beautiful KZN Midlands Meander. There was also abundant bird life - great for birdwatchers!
Besides the rain, we got to spend time next to the fireplace and we went for lunch at the restaurant next door. An all-in-one place.
What a cute place. Beautiful surroundings with good service. Would definitely recommend.
It was quiet and the view was magical, looking up into the mountains. I loved the sound of the river running by. The furniture was old school farm and country style which I enjoyed. This is where I would love to retire one day.
Very quaint cottages on the river. Clean and spacious. Very convenient having the restaurant right there.
Rats in the ceiling. Spider bite marks on our bodies. Cobwebs in the rooms. No Wi-Fi. Dust layer on the beds. Very disappointing.
