Amazing - will definitely be back - our favourite spot in the Berg. Units and resort are immaculate.
Absolutely amazing, beautiful!
Everything was perfect! The house is so beautiful, clean and tidy. The mountains are breathtakingly beautiful! They offered so many activities for the children to keep them busy. It really is a must stay in the mountains!
Great place! Really think this is a gem. Appreciate a place that puts time and money into renewing. However, I wished all facilities were available.

The water sports and children's playground is definitely something that stands out! Have fun! Will definitely return! The road there is just very bad and there was no warning about the bad road.
Food is very good, it was the best part of the time there.
Very nice place, the road to the place is just very ugly. But it's very nice and convenient, lots for children to keep them busy, coffee shop might just stay open later. Spa is good and people very friendly.

Would have appreciated braai facilities. We stayed in the 1 bedroom unit. The power was out when we got there and it cut the cards, making access to the unit difficult. The customer service was not so good as we did not have clarity about the room number (A, B and C) where we are staying. If it is self-catering it must offer self-catering facilities. Attention can also be paid to the water damage of the outer walls.
Overall average and not the same as 20 years back.
Booked an apartment for two. Got to share a house with other people as only a door separated my accommodation from the neighbour's who stayed in the main room. It's practically a 3 bedroom house where it's split into 3 rooms. Definitely not value for money. The TV's reception was so poor that you couldn't see anything. Asked them to fix it and it actually got worse. Didn't even bother to come back to check. Ended up leaving a day early as we could hear every conversation from our neighbour's.
Picturesque place with lots of child friendly activities.
Our villa was stylish with a beautiful view. The resort was very clean and neat. Enjoyed it a lot.
Nice place and very tidy. Has everything you need and more. Relaxing and comfortable. Restaurant facility was fantastic. Good atmosphere. Would go back anytime.
Restaurant is absolutely pathetic.
The rooms were incredibly beautiful and the view also breathtaking. The jungle gym at the restaurant area is completely rotten and unsafe for children to play on. The restaurant was a big mess - waited for 20 minutes before we were helped, waited over 40 minutes to get drinks and waited 1 hour 45 minutes for food which was really not of good quality. Shocking. Would not want to go back again.
Facilities were great. Good location and good value for money. Would recommend to friends. The studio that we stayed in was clean and well set out. Towels were not so great, for such a great venue, a better quality bath towel is preferred. The water pressure in the bathroom was terrible. Took nearly 1 hour to run a bath with 5cm of water in it. Also the bath plug did not seal, so I had to use a plastic bag to seal around the plug. Water pressure was so poor couldn't use the shower.

Safe for children to go to play areas alone. Friendly staff. If you want to drive around it is close enough to 'activities' and places to eat.
My husband and I, and our 1-year-old stayd in unit 24 C for 2 nights and my parents-in-law stayed in unite 24 B, selfs-catering units. Next time we will book 24 A together. The units were built recently and are very modern. We made arrangements beforehand for a camping cot, you just have to take your own mattress. Included breakfast was delicious. We would love to stay at Cayley Lodge again, but longer next time so we can utilize the activities and the day spa.
The place was gorgeous, the views were amazing, the staff were polite and helpful, the rooms were beautiful and modern. I had a wonderful weekend stay there and I will definitely be back. Only thing I didn't like we're the bugs but that's an easy fix.

Room was infested with flies. Bad TV signal. Reception does not attend to complaints. Was very disappointed with the shower in the bath! The images displayed on the website is far from what we really had! We ran out of tea supplies and toilet paper!

You or your guests must produce a confirmation letter in hardcopy or digital form at the time of check-in. The resort reserves the right to allocate a different unit, of the same size, to that indicated on the confirmation letter.
If, in the opinion of management, more than the stipulated number of persons occupy the unit, you or your party may be required to vacate the unit and you will be liable for the applicable penalty fee.
Please respect your fellow guests' enjoyment by ensuring that there is no noise or disturbance at any time, especially after 10PM. The playing of loud music at any time is not acceptable. The failure to adhere to this will result in the request to vacate the unit and resort.
This resort imposes a group limit and booking conditions, and has special check-in procedures, and require additional deposits and indemnities. If you are part of a group or multi-party booking greater than 12 guests, please be sure to check directly with the resort as soon as possible after receiving confirmation of this booking.
Renting out a unit prior to getting approval from management is not allowed. You may not "split" the booking period amongst guests that are not indicated on the official confirmation letter. If management, at their discretion, finds that you've not abided by these requirements, you and/ or your party may not occupy the unit, or will be asked to vacate the unit, and a penalty fee will be charged to you.
Any damage, that may even exceed the breakage deposit paid at check-in, to the resort's property, including the unit/s and their contents is the financial liability of the guest in occupation.
Signing an indemnity form is standard practice. Only a person over 18 years may sign the Guest Registration Card at check-in. The indemnifier must remain in occupation for the duration of the stay. If the indemnifier vacates the unit, the remaining occupants may be asked to vacate the resort.
Pets are not allowed at the resort, except for certified support animals. Failing to adhere to this may lead to a penalty fee and a request to remove the pet(s) from the resort.
Smoking in units, on patios, or any of the other buildings on the resort premises is not allowed by law. Should Management, at their discretion, find that you and/ or your party has violated this policy, you will be liable to pay a fine.
The property accepts no liability whatsoever for any injury, death, loss, damage, or expense suffered by you, your guests, or anyone else taking occupation with you, arising from any act of God, theft, strike, fire or the acts or omissions of any other person, including but not limited to the local or national government, limitations, restrictions and requirements for visas, permits, licenses and certificates on border controls and immigration (if applicable), military, police and security services intervention, international and local travel, movement of goods and persons, occupation of accommodation and the use and enjoyment of facilities, amenities and public and private venues, while under the jurisdiction of such local or national government

Please respect your fellow guests' enjoyment by ensuring that there is no noise or disturbance at any time, especially after 10PM. The playing of loud music at any time is not acceptable. The failure to adhere to this will result in the request to vacate the unit and resort.
This resort imposes a group limit and booking conditions, and has special check-in procedures, and require additional deposits and indemnities. If you are part of a group or multi-party booking greater than 12 guests, please be sure to check directly with the resort as soon as possible after receiving confirmation of this booking.
Renting out a unit prior to getting approval from management is not allowed. You may not "split" the booking period amongst guests that are not indicated on the official confirmation letter. If management, at their discretion, finds that you've not abided by these requirements, you and/ or your party may not occupy the unit, or will be asked to vacate the unit, and a penalty fee will be charged to you.
Any damage, that may even exceed the breakage deposit paid at check-in, to the resort's property, including the unit/s and their contents is the financial liability of the guest in occupation.
Signing an indemnity form is standard practice. Only a person over 18 years may sign the Guest Registration Card at check-in. The indemnifier must remain in occupation for the duration of the stay. If the indemnifier vacates the unit, the remaining occupants may be asked to vacate the resort.
