Lovely old house very close to the hospital and other central amenities. I loved the charm of the wooden floors and the beautiful garden. If I need to stay in Kimberley again, I will definitely visit again.
The most beautiful guest house in the middle of Kimberley. The rooms are beautifully and very comfortably furnished. The service was very friendly and Anoeschka made us feel very welcome. She is a fantastic hostess. Thank you for a great experience. We will definitely stay here again!
Anuschka was very helpful with arrangements. We had a nice stay and had a clean room, nice bed and bathroom. It's a beautiful, old building. The area was not the greatest but we felt very safe in the guest house and had a nice stay. We are a family of 4.

Was very pleasant. We were amazed at what there is to see and do in Kimberley.
We just had to leave early and wanted to go without breakfast but were informed that a take away breakfast would be included which we then accepted, rather than stopping at a restaurant along the way for breakfast. This was disappointing - we got yogurt containers but no (plastic) spoon to eat them with. There were no drinks included either - a fruit juice would have helped quite a bit! There were also no napkins provided in the food packages. We would also like to suggest that the customer's choice regarding white or brown bread will be asked before food packages are prepared.
The breakfast was very good value for money and the rooms were very clean and spacious. I I could rate 10 stars I would.

Love the old house with its creaking wooden floors and neat finishes. Hostess was friendly and very helpful.
Zelda received us warmly and we immediately felt good about where we were going to stay. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The bar fridge came in very handy. We liked the fact that on a slip you could choose a few preferences or dislikes for breakfast. All the staff are neat and friendly. I was especially impressed after we left and received a call about 3 minutes later! It was Zelda who told me a cleaner got my husband's wedding ring on the sink! He was so relieved that he gave the worker a thank-you fee. We'll definitely see you again next year!

The Cecil John Rhodes Guest House is a pleasant retreat from an otherwise busy day to day life. The guest house offers all the amenities a weary traveller needs to have - especially after a long day on the road. Centrally located in Kimberley, the guest is close to all historic sites that can be found in this unique town. Highly recommended!

Ons het twee nagte oorgebly om omgewing te verken, baie sentraal geleë met die Pur en hospitaal om die hoek in veilige omgewing. Gastehuis baie netjies en skoon. Diens puik en personeel baie vriendelik, sal weer oorbly daar!
The guest house is very accommodating. We wanted to drive very early the next morning, and they packed food packages for us to take with us, because we would not have breakfast there. Parking is secure, and we got our own remote control gate and could come and go as we pleased! Will definitely stay there again.

The shower in room 1 is not very nice, you can't change the head, just one big jet that sprays. But otherwise it was pleasant.

We were received very kindly. The guest house is well located to visit all the museums. It is clean and tidy. It's also pocket-sized. The guesthouse manager was always ready to help.
It was really pleasant. We should have been at the Kimberley hospital early and even walked there without problems. The breakfast was delicious and everyone there was really friendly and willing to help. The rooms were large and well furnished and the garden is very beautiful.

Very nice guest house with clean rooms and personal service
The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Also, our daughter forgot an article in her room and we were called the next morning and informed about it.
The service was extremely friendly and the rooms spacious and very pleasant. It is an old historical house and therefore one does not expect modern comforts and facilities.
It's a beautiful house, clean and tidy - even though it's old and from another era, you sleep well. Our hostess (Joanie) was great, friendly and hospitable. Full breakfast served. The garden with all the birds, water 'features' and coolness on a hot day very welcome, and you can relax with a book. The only thing that hinders a bit is the block of flats next door. There were children screaming and crying, laundry on balconies, etc. and unfortunately it kind of detracts from this wonderful house. One actually wishes you could pick up and move the house. Still I would suggest family or friends on a one night stop to stay here.
There are no small plates for your toast. Breakfast was cold.

We had a nice time. Breakfast was very nice and the room was special. It's always nice to stay in such an old house full of history. Round off your time here with a visit to Kimberley's hole.
We unfortunately found our room to not have been cleaned properly on our arrival with crumbs and a small chicken bone on the floor but when this was pointed out to the staff, they were quick to apologize and the room was cleaned. Also we found the breakfast to be a little strange as it included a crumbed chicken with bacon and eggs. Otherwise, a good stay.
