31 guests' feedbackOur last overnight stop on our 23 day tour. "Saved the best for last!". We were overwhelmed by the beautiful farm road cut into the mountains. We had a great time camping there. So beautiful and lots to do, or just sit and rest and marvel at nature.
We were welcomed by Zoe who made sure we had everything we required. The gravel road of about 7 km is not great, and vehicles with low road clearance will have to drive very slowly.
Thank you for yet another lovely stay! We are never disappointed by how well we are welcomed and taken care of. The cottages are always beautifully cleaned, the kitchen is well-equipped and the beds are warm and comfortable - and we couldn't ask for a more beautiful location. Thank you, Zoe!
Nice environment. Friendly reception.
Zoe is a real Energiser Bunny. Always smiling and willing to please. What a breath of fresh air. We loved walking around the farm and seeing the emus. Plus a nice relaxing sundowner on the island in the middle of the dam.
Spent two days at Cedarberg Guest Farm. We upgraded to Cottage 3 from camping because of rain. Small, but very thoughtfully equipped unit. Had all we needed. Very friendly hosts.
Very nice area & location. Very hospitable.
Really nice camping, beautiful view on the way to the farm. Very friendly reception.
We had a great time. Would love to go there again.
This was a great sanctuary to get out of the city and relax. The 7 km gravel road is a challenge itself but once you’re there, it is beautiful. It’s a working farm but it needs to be equipped for visitors too. The trails on offer were driving trails; it would be great if you want to hike or jog around the place. The host was excellent. Rooms were clean, fireplace and electric blankets for the winter nights.
Pure nature! We enjoyed the stay very much.
We had a wonderful stay at Cedarberg Guest Farm. It was peaceful and quiet. Thank you to Zoe. A most welcoming hostess. We would recommend Cedarberg Guest Farm to anyone needing a pitstop or even a quiet relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
We had a great time camping at Cedarberg. Friendly host. Nice walk.
The surroundings are beautiful, the dirt roads are beautiful and lovely to drive on a motorbike or car, the hostess was very helpful and friendly. The place must be seen and the peace that reigns there is so fulfilling. Everyone will definitely go back for another visit.
Away from a town's lights and noise in a beautiful environment, the visit was a wonderful relaxation. We could barbecue outside, make a fire inside against the unexpected cold and sleep and shower nice and warm. The cottage was spacious enough with a well appointed living room kitchen and large bedrooms. Thank you very much for the privilege of being able to stay there.
Leckeslaap's information is top notch. Drive to the spot, park your car and forget about everything outside. Host Zoe is willing to help every day. Fresh farm milk every morning was a pleasant surprise. Free firewood for fireplace and barbecue is an added bonus.
At least dishcloths can be put down to just wipe the counter where there is a mess.
Our hosts, Ingrid and PJ, were very friendly and helpful. We were able to use the big boma, made a lovely campfire and had fun rowing on the pond and swimming there. Also watched fantastic birds.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay longer. The location was a pleasant surprise, it is very beautiful. Will definitely recommend Cedarberg to friends and family.
To be honest, the hosts where amazing and kind as well as the place is a good place for a down time from the world. We are energised because of the peace and tranquillity.
The cottage was well equipped with fridge, microwave, mini oven or hotplate, plus TV and it was comfortably furnished. It overlooked the expansive lawn and a small dam, and the host kindly provided some milk and broccoli in the fridge. Would certainly consider a repeat stay.
Unfortunately we arrived too late for a horse ride. In the mornings it's possible to help with the cattle. Great for the kids
We travelled with teenagers and a toddler and what a beautiful little hidden gem this is. Wish we could have stayed longer.
After a long time without vacation, we badly needed rest. Cedarberg Guest Farm is beautiful, and we rested well. Ingrid and PJ were friendly, helpful and looked after us with their team. Cared for and ensured us an experience of a lifetime. We can only speak with praise and appreciation of a piece of heaven at the foot of the Drakensberg called Cedarberg Guest Farm and will definitely visit there again.
Probably one of our best places that we have stayed at using the website - absolutely superb - friendly couple who run the farm and guesthouse with beautiful setting, very accommodating
We slept wonderfully warm - didn't expect it to be only 10 degrees on April 6th. Fireplace and warm duvet made for a pleasant stay.
The area is beautiful. The service was friendly and the manager curtious and helpful. The unit is well-equipped and very neat and clean. It was a wonderful experience for our family.
I love the tranquil farm atmosphere, used the fireplace and braai grill with wooden door, the owner provided, there are marked hiking trails at the tip - could take nice pictures of dam and island. The last part of the access road is dirt road and if you drive slow, you won't have a problem with regular sedan.
The location, atmosphere and campsite are indescribably picturesque. We are only a little disappointed in the service. The management did not show much bad about our stay. The ablution facilities, although beautiful, neat and suitable, have not been maintained at all. Women's bathroom was flooded, but only attended to after five in the afternoon, and with that only cleaning and not solving the problem. Disappointing.
Units are well equipped, nice and safe play area for children.
We as a family had a traumatic time in Durban and when we arrived at Cederberg it was peaceful and we as a family began to feel there was hope again. We had a great time and the people helped us drive a better way home. It helped that my Mother was able to get well again soon.
