There is also cutlery and crockery which includes teapot, corkscrew, bottle opener and braai tongs. All chalets have an iron and ironing board. The unit features items such as beach towels, towels, linen, pillows and blankets; hairdryer, ceiling fan, television, DVD player and fire extinguisher.
The chalets feature a private braai area and covered, or open secure parking. The chalet is cleaned daily, and linen is changed twice a week.
The nearby attractions include Sibaya Casino which offers live entertainment, fine dining, cinemas, games, slot machines, gambling tables and a range of leisure facilities. Deep sea fishing, dolphin cruises and whale watching are popular pastimes in this region, there are 2 golf courses in the area and many quaint shops and fine restaurants can be found nearby.

60 guests' feedbackIt was delicious! I booked and then read some pretty alarming reviews about the resort. Well, I can reassure anyone who, like me, doesn't want to vacation in a less comfortable place than my own home. Chaka's Rock is truly a gem for the price. It's not luxurious, but you don't lack for anything. The units are clean, which is the first priority for me. There is so much to do, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Service is worth 5 star, really! Location is central, but certainly very quiet. The children (not that we had children with us) are spoiled with a full program all the time. The beaches nearby are clean and secured at all times with strict access control. We just don't have all 6 plates, knives etc. didn't have, but we were only 4 people, so it didn't bother. I am also sure that they would sort it out for us in no time if they were made aware of it. We had a really nice stay. It was just too short. .

It was an enjoyable stay. Some of the furniture is old or water damaged, and the microwave buttons do not have labels. The gate was wide open for some time (perhaps it was broken), and that was a concern for me.

Units very neglected, things are badly rusted. There was no TV in our room or toaster (had to ask for one on Saturday). No doors in front of the sink in bathroom, etc. It's such a shame that the place to stay has turned out so badly - we always enjoyed staying and visiting there, but won't be going back there anytime soon. For the price you pay per day for unit, one only expects more and definitely a better sea. Definitely won't be staying at the holiday home for a week - was very disappointed. We have stayed there many times and it was always fantastic, but this time it was absolutely not a pleasure. For the money you pay per night, you expect much better and we will definitely not go back until they do renovation work on the resort - especially the accommodation units - specifically unit 20 - and will not recommend it to anyone either.
The chalets are small, dark and cramped. The towels and bedding they provide are full of stains and stains. The swimming pools are also not kept clean regularly. The chalets need upgrading and maintenance. Very little privacy. Jungle gym area is outdoor. Very little to no ocean view - no beach access. Would not recommend.

The unit #10 needs a upgrade. Old and tarnished bathtub, kitchen cupboards damaged. There was lizard crap on the kitchen counter top. Unit wasn't cleaned properly. The swimming pool was dirty with chunks of hair and green. We requested for the pool to be cleared but unfortunately this was only done on the day we had to check out so we didn't get a chance to swim.
Very happy with the accommodation and good value for money. We were just disappointed with the adventure golf course which is very small.
We had a small problem with our reservation. When we arrived on Monday afternoon they couldn't find our reservation, but helped us anyway.
Perfect accommodation for a quick getaway - does not require much planning. Value for money accommodation although the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The noise levels from other guests are excessive and poorly controlled.

The built-in braai on the stoep together with the view is incredible. The unit and play area was perfect for our 3 year old boy. Although we stayed here in the winter I believe air conditioning in the living area could help in the summer as the sun is already hot early in the morning
We were not there long enough to really enjoy the facilities that were on offer but what we saw and experienced in the short time that we were there was very pleasing and worth another visit.
The chalets were in pristine condition and daily service was done by extremely friendly staff. Despite having initial problems on checking in, they did not have our reservations, no more problems were experienced. Everything was in working conditions: DStv, stove etc. There was even a hairdryer provided, which was very thoughtful. The spa is highly recommended and although the balcony was extremely small and cluttered with too huge a Weber, the whole unit was tastefully furnished and very comfortable. All the staff were extremely helpful and most friendly.

Chaka's Rock is a must! You have the most beautiful view of the sea. I would definitely recommend it.
The reception surprised us as we arrived as it was very professional in looks and staff. We stayed across the road which we were very pleased about, as we do not like small children around us so this was a big plus. The view was amazing from the room and the sound of the waves felt like we where on the beach. The 3 lazy cats in the garden were perfect as you got the feel of being at home. We will definitely stay again. The only bad thing we have to say is 09:00 is far to early for check-out time, 11:00 is the usual in all B&Bs and hotels.

Very cosy and well-appointed. Everything available for a comfy holiday. The manager should have a look at the kitchen drawers though - difficult to open and close, dust on the ceiling fan and stains on the couch. Other wise tiptop!
The accommodation was neat, staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not hesitate at all to help us out with a special request. The swimming area was pleasant. In an ideal world the chalets would be on the Strand, but as it is, at least it's not too far.

We just went to see if the accommodation would be suitable for our family holiday in 2017. We were pleasantly surprised with the resort. Accommodation is compact and very neat. It is 10 minutes' walk from the beach. The resort offers a swimming pool, squash court, tennis court, putt-putt, playing area for the children. Only negative comment would be regarding the narrow parking, but that's a problem at all the resorts in Ballito. Will definitely recommend it.

Really a great area for a holiday. Lots to do and see for young and old.
Little things need attention. Our porch and braai were not cleaned after previous guests left. Could be because we checked in on a Sunday and only stayed one night? TV only had 6 of the 18 channels, and tub was cracked (staff told me they are replacing the tubs). Furthermore, everything was nice and clean, and the staff very friendly and the resort was quiet. Will return for sure.
There is room for improvement in terms of bathrooms and poor soundproofing.
