We really enjoyed the cottage, beautiful, soft beds and close to all we needed.
We loved these cottages! We were able to book out both cottages for a bigger party. However, even separately there is a lot of privacy between the different cottages. We absolutely loved it! And are so happy we found a spot suitable for summer & winter days away. I can't wait to come back and soak up the sun by the pool. Alternatively, I can't wait to come in the middle of winter, light up the indoor fire, and play board games. The host was so accommodating and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the interior is just lovely. Thanks so much for such a beautiful stay, and beautiful spot to celebrate our friend.

We had a nice stay, but the maintenance is inadequate. The shower door in the master bedroom could not close and the toilet door handle on the outside is broken. There are no heaters or electric blankets in the bedrooms which makes it uncomfortable in the winter. The gardens are beautiful though and effort has been made with the first impression.

Chalcedony Cottages was one of the most comfortable and stylish places we have rented in McGregor, with a stunning garden and abundant birdlife. Impressive attention to detail, including mosquito repellent and plugs (being near the dam means mosquitoes can be a nuisance). It would be great value for money if rented for four, but the price is a bit steep if you only need one bedroom.
My daughter and I agree it was great. Loved the pool. Pity it was cool next morning, so didn't need a swim. Will definitely come back.
View and facilities are great, unfortunately dead mice and frogs in pool.
