We drove in circles looking for Cranford Chalets and with the help of a friendly lady found out that the name had changed back to Larola Chalets. A correction will have to be made on the Internet.

We recently stayed at Larola Terraces and it exceeded all our expectations! The unit was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to nearby attractions. The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this holiday unit to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. We can't wait to come back again!

Safety of vehicle is really bad. Carrying bags down to the residence was damn difficult.
Our chalet was nice and cosy and warm. All was what we expected really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Cranford Chalets to anybody, although it is out of town but we did not really mind the drive.

We just slept there and had breakfast. Enough restaurants. The restaurants are a bit expensive for the average salary earner.

The accommodation was great and very nice. The village was also quiet over the festive season.
My only regret was that the DSTV did not work. We are not big TV watchers, but it was so cold in the evening that we didn't sit for long at the places to visit, and it would have been nice to just watch some TV. Furthermore, everything was lovely, clean, tidy and well furnished! We had a great stay and will come back again.
38 Cranford Chalets was well equipped and all we needed for a comfortable stay. The unit is quaint and cosy and the children loved the little loft bedrooms! It works well for an active/outdoorsy breakaway where you won’t need to spend too much time at the chalet - it is a small (although well laid out) unit where cabin fever can set in quickly with young kids. Our children were fine with the staircase/ladder up to their loft bedrooms but it may be a problem for kids younger than 5. Jane is a great, easy-going host who accommodated our late arrival and made herself available should there have been any needs.

Very nice place to stay for up to four adults. Easy to reach. Peaceful surroundings after a day walking around town. The braai facilities such as coal graphy, grill brush and most importantly, a meat tray for outdoor use. Thank you very much for a lovely few days of peace and quiet. Would definitely consider Cranford again for stays in Clarence.
The managers of our chalet were very helpful and considerate. She gave us directions how to get there and she explained to us what we could expect from the chalet. Once there, we immediately relaxed and were surprised by the spaciousness of the chalet. At the back of the garden we could have a nice barbecue even though the weather was unpleasant. The chalet contained all the essentials - even the ones you forget when you go on holiday: cutlery, plates, a stove, bowls, a fridge and even extra blankets for the cold evenings. I would definitely recommend this chalet to others. Thanks to Jane for making sure we were safe and happy!

Had walks all around the streets and shops of Clarens. Can even arrounge heading to other places in the area.
House is very well equipped with almost everything, seeing that it was a self catering unit we almost brought our entire kitchen with, only to arrive and find everything you will possibly need in the cupboard, was very impressed with this. Friendly guards guarding the units and the cars. From the layout of the chalets to the decor it was way above my expectations and I was very impressed. Time well spent.
Was a lovely visit with safe accommodation. Would have given full marks if there had been at least coffee and sugar for the first cup. Also no pan to fry an egg in. Only in pot, the other 1 was burnt. Place was clean and tidy and will definitely stay there again!
The unit has everything one needs and is close enough to everything, but you are not in the heart of Clarens and still need to drive to town.
The terrible communication when you arrive is an issue. First of all there's no sigh etc. that indicates that you're at the right place. The banner says "Laundry"? On GPS/Mpas Apps it says Highlands Hotel or something (permanently closed). The street address 710 is misleading since the street numbers do not correspeond with the eventual address. There was no one to hand over the keys and after much effort you have to drive 2 km to a restaurant to get the keys. Then, all the units except our unit No 15 can be paid by credit card? Something doesn't add up and it had a negative impact on our initial impression of Cranford.
Thank you very much, Jane. We enjoyed our stay! My daughter especially liked the cute "Heidi windows" above her bed through which she could see the mountains! Well-appointed and we had everything that we needed. Everything was clean and tidy at arrival and beautifully furnished.
The experience of using Clarens for overnight accommodation was a winner for us. The hospitality was to be found wherever you came.
I suggest that the chalets and parking area gets fenced off with palisade and a gate to keep cars safer at night.
At the beginning of our stay I was somewhat worried about the covered parking and the security that comes with it. Soon we realized that our stay would be carefree with a 24 hour guard around the buildings and the assurance of Jane and Martin that there had not yet been a problem with thefts. What a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains at sunrise. A real sense of calm surrounded us in Clarens and it's so quiet in the area. My wife and I had a great rest with the 3 night stay and of course Clarens tried to buy empty. I highly recommend Cranford Chalets. Thanks to Lekkeslaap for quick response to get accommodation at short notice.

I really enjoyed it on Clarens. The people are very polite and civilized and also friendly. Martin and Jane were very helpful and friendly. Everything in the chalet was beautiful and comfortable. Everything in Clarens and at Cranford chalets is so calm and peaceful especially if you come from Johannesburg! I will definitely holiday in Clarens again and book with Cranford Chalets again. My father and his fiancee said it was very nice. We gave it to him for his 70th birthday present. They say the place was very nice inside and it was very quiet, so they liked it a lot.
What an exceptionally well appointed self-catering unit no. 38 is. Our time here was too short but we would definitely want to stay here again.

There is a pharmacy in town with a very friendly and helpful female pharmacist who was open on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. The Sunday morning church service at 6:15 was the highlight over the Easter weekend. We felt at home among all the friendly people and enjoy tea and Easter buns after the service. Many thanks to all Clarens' people who made it special.
Very cute place. Just take your own coffee and milk with you. Refrigerator very quiet. There is a braai too; only take wood with you.

I really wasn't happy with the place to stay. The interior was old-fashioned. There were cobwebs behind my bed and a tissue between the sheets. The location is also not good.
It was neat and clean and even the towels and bedding smelled fresh.
We were looking for a quiet peaceful place for our 29th wedding anniversary and the chalet exceeded all expectations. We would definitely recommend the chalet.

Except for the rain everything was spot during our stay.
Ideal for a mature couple with or without children. The upper level beds are ideal for children and just adults who don't mind climbing and sleeping with a small space above their heads.

We felt completely safe and comfortable. The chalet was equipped with much more than we expected. It was neat as a pin and having our own private braai area was an added bonus. It is also very close to everywhere we wanted to visit, so we did not need to spend too much time getting from one place to the other.

Chalet 15 Cranford is a beautifully furnished house at a very good price. I couldn't believe my eyes when we got there and saw how beautiful it was and how much effort the owner had made for the good price we paid. It's bad catering but there was coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits left for us. The bed has an electric blanket on it and heater on the wall. It's very cosy, great for a cheap weekend away in Clarens.
