It was my son's birthday getaway with his friends. The boys had loads of fun. The chalet was well equipped, clean, tidy and organised. The tranquility of the resort was good for the soul. The view from the porch was beautiful with the Touws River on your front porch. We will definitely visit again.
Absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for the 5-day stay. The bathroom was super clean. We felt safe as it is in a gated area. Lovely and peaceful area. My only suggestion would be to have a UPS of some sort to keep the Wi-Fi on during load shedding.
Fantastic place, very tidy and the cool morning sun peeping over the mountains and falling on the bed was heavenly.
It was good. Entered with a long load shedding but rest, it's a good place to stay with kids.

The accommodation served its purpose, you can have a good time, have a barbecue and the house is spacious enough for a few people. Living area's small and comfortable chairs for everyone are limited. Living area outside is sufficient though. Close to the N2, so you don't get the peaceful feeling you would like in the Wilderness. Amenities are adequate. We only stayed 2 days and it was good value for money.

We really enjoyed our short stay with family. The cottage was a decent size and everything needed was there. Will definitely visit again. Our host was also very helpful.
The Wilderness area is pristine with lots of nature. Although Chalet Petit is a quaint wooden house, as a family of 5 it offered us enough space to enjoy our stay. The bedrooms were extremely spacious. I especially loved the bath in the bathroom with its modern finish. We enjoyed cooking breakfast and using the braai facilities. There was even wood and fire starters that we could use. We were so impressed with the ice in the freezer, the cookies in the jar, as well as the milk in the fridge. Even the extra spices came in handy as we forgot ours. I want to personally thank the lady who welcomed us and stayed on the phone to ensure we arrived at the accommodation safely. She always made herself available if we had any questions via WhatsApp. Thanks again for making our little break away so memorable. We definitely want to come back to stay there again. Oops, I almost forgot to mention that we were thrilled that there were board games as well to help keep the kids entertained. So, a job well done in a great place to vacation at.

Only upon arrival did I realize that the property is literally a stone's throw away from a highway. Nowhere on the site does it state that the property is a couple of meters away from the busy highway? Your map also does not give you the option to zoom in as with Google Maps in order to have a close view of the location. I was absolutely furious upon arrival. The loud noise coming from the highway is non-stop 24/7. I had a constant headache the whole day and at night I could not sleep at all. Wanting fresh air while sleeping was impossible seeing that one could not open the windows which made the traffic noise even worse. I felt cheated and disgusted. It's as if the close proximity of the property to the highway is deliberately withheld and not mentioned. Nobody in their right mind shall even consider this property should they know the close proximity. As mentioned, I felt "ripped off".

All that bothers me is the constant traffic from the N2 which was only a few meters from the Chalet. It makes sleeping difficult and if I had known this in advance I might have chosen a different place.
The host assisted me throughout the whole process without any hesitation and was available for questions anytime. Nicki was so kind and made sure we are sorted after we checked in. Thank you for sharing Mr. Petit with my family. We had so much fun.

Fully equipped with everything we needed for our visit. Just missed DStv but probably should have arranged it in advance. But TV was fine. The many games were extra.

We were pleasantly surprised, Chalet Petit is not so petite at all! Spacious, well equipped, very tidy. Once you accept the N2's traffic, it is peaceful. The wooden deck and braai area is a nice treat. (Future guests just need to check in advance if their DSTtv card can be used elsewhere). This accommodation is recommended!
