Good for one night's layover to your destination. Very neat.
This was probably the best guesthouse I've rented that gave me home-feels. Affordable, private and clean. Everything we needed e.g. fridge, microwave etc. was there and nobody bothered us. Someone came to clean every day. However, I would've wanted them to let people know beforehand that they're reconstructing or fixing the pool "as I was told" so we couldn't access the pool. However, the setting is beautiful for this price I would recommend this guesthouse to anybody.
Slept very well. We were also walking distance to a nearby center at the stadium, lots of places to eat and Checkers and Pick n Pay.
Had an excellent overnight stay.
We only stayed one night. On arrival we were very disappointed, the room we were given had incredible water damage (the roof looks like it's going to fall and the kitchen cupboard is also wet inside the hanging cupboard door is also on its last) so it didn't smell good . The TV remotes didn't work, but we decided it was only one night so would make the most of it. The doors were left open and the smell was better. The place was clean, it is safe and very close to Loftus. We did receive good service, there was just nothing they could do as they were fully booked. We peeked into other guests' rooms and they looked much better, so not all rooms look like this. We will definitely book with them again if we have an event at Loftus. Owner can only make a little more effort so that some of the rooms are not so dilapidated.
My first bad "review". Place is neat. Service interrupted, no shower mat (and only one towel, so can't even use the second one for the mat). Kettle provided but no coffee etc. It's a bit bad if you get up in the morning and start your day with a glass of water. Mattress also uncomfortable.
Dirty and disappointing! Photos are misleading. Although very close to Loftus. Buildings inside badly neglected. 1 bath towel, no bath mat. Empty toilet roll. Plugs broken. Doors barely close. No coffee, tea etc., but 2 soft spoons, 2 cups and a kettle. Beds pathetic, as well as pillows. Never again!
Except for the shower pipe was broken. No glasses to drink out of. Not big enough mugs. The duvet's inner is too small for its cover. No hot water so our bath experience was not so nice. The bedlamp on the right didn't work.
There were no power points in the rooms, had to blow my hair in the kitchen area, phone charging in the living room behind the TV. TV didn't work. The bathroom's towel rail was broken and held together with some type of rack. It had only been a bath with a shower head. The shower head was also broken and the pipe too, could not be used comfortably. Water sprayed everywhere. Coffee and sugar in the room had not been enough.
Bedrooms were tidy, but the bathroom needs attention. Also no water when we were there (not their fault). The door leading to the balcony could not be closed.
They are definitely asking too much money. No Dstv only openview, but the location is perfect though.
Other than the fact that we sat without power for over 28 hours, with no explanation if you didn't go and ask yourself. Nor could a clear answer be given. No lights, candles, generator or any aids were offered. We went to ask for candles and 2 were stuffed in our hands without holders. We had to use coffee cups to hold candles. One Weber grill to share between all the units. There were people who boiled water in pots on the Weber to make coffee. Cold showers, R600 worth of groceries that went down because fridges don't work. Really disappointing!
Exceptional experience.
If you are looking for a cheap place to stay near the Loftus area, this is ideal. Nothing fancy, but the place served its purpose. Could look at the mattresses and pillows being a bit hard, and our room didn't have a kettle, although there is a kitchen. Can also provide 2 towels instead of only 1. But no complaints beyond that.
The service was good and accommodation offers good value for money. But wasn't quite what we expected, and wouldn't stay there for more than one night, but was ideal for a quick stopover if you want to be close to Loftus Versfeld and Loftus Park.
Infrastructure maintenance is required.
First the positives: The beds and bedding were good. But. The room was not what we booked. The kitchen facilities were extremely meager and the kitchen light did not work. The bottom of the eye level kitchen cupboard was burnt by previous guests. In the bathroom, the toilet roll holder, towel rail and shower were broken. We made a plan to be able to use the shower, but at certain times of the day the water pressure is extremely high and the shower sprayed so hard that the entire floor got wet and flowed under the door into the bedroom. We had to ask for towels the first day, which were taken back the second day, so we had to ask again! The couch in the living room is broken. There is no DStv as mentioned, only Openview. It was difficult to get the WiFi code, and eventually it didn't even work, especially not in the room. Furthermore, the general maintenance of the guest house is far overdue. It was also inconvenient that guests were not given a remote control for the security gate, but depended on attracting the attention of reception staff or security guards from the gate.
Honestly wouldn't stay there again. Rooms were not clean. Trash can was broken. Front door was broken.
The rooms were clean and tidy. The host was very pleasant and very helpful.

I paid for a "twin room" as I booked. On my arrival there I was informed that all twin rooms were full and my daughter and I had to share a double bed. The air conditioner was also out of order. They were very kind, but I didn't get what I asked for and paid for.
Excellent service, clean rooms and great food.
On arrival our rooms were not ready. However, the staff were very helpful and made an effort to accommodate our group of 19. Some of the staff went into our rooms with walkers while we were grilling, without telling us. It's unacceptable. Furthermore, we cannot complain about the service or staff.
Lights in room don't work, the kitchen sink doesn't have a plug or washcloth or drying cloth, had to ask for towels. Old food in fridge, faucet broken after shower. Towel rail is broken. The TV is broken almost no sound and TV stations are inappropriate.
The family unit was very neat and clean. Bed linen still smelled of Staysoft! People at reception were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a nice experience.
