"Last minute getaway."

Was very nice, everything was clean and nice. The bed was just too hard for us, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Would recommend a dustbin in the living area. There was a tiny dustbin in the bathroom. The table should be larger, and Wi-Fi would certainly be an easy convenience to add.

Me, my husband and my father spent the night there on our way home from the Kruger National Park. We didn't arrive until 9 in the evening, and the owner, Alan, was there to take care of us literally immediately. The unit itself is nicely furnished and very comfortably furnished. Will definitely stay there again.

Charilo was a peaceful, neat place to relax. Just off the main road, but within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

Communication, reception and cleanliness were of high quality. A TV would be an asset. Saturdays are rugby time, as we know. Nonetheless, Charilo is absolutely recommended.

It's a very clean and tidy, comfortable place to spend the night. The staff made us feel very welcome. We were in rooms 1 and 3. It would have been nice if there was a place where we could hang out with friends for a while. Maybe there was something like that available to us, but we just didn't know about it.

Exceptional accommodation and very central location. Wonderful atmosphere. The place was very neat and well-equipped. Unfortunately the automtatic gate didn't work apparentlty because of the storm that hit Dullstroom. Understandable, but I wans't able to enjoy a good night's sleep because our bikes weren't locked. But I believe it was an unfortunate coincidance. But the accommodation and the unit is neat it made up for the gate issue! Will recommend this place any day and we will defnitely be back. And I'm sure the fireplace will be really nice in winter.

The owners are very friendly and pleasant and didn't hesitate to make an exception for us needing to check in earlier due to a wedding. Everything was very neat and clean and we had a good stay.

The cottage is in dire need of upgrading. The toilet seat is broken and the taps of the bath are broken. There is also an urgent need for a new mattress for the bed. Because we were single, one tried to sleep on the carpet and the other on the bed, but there was really NO difference between the hard cement floor and the overworked mattress. The towels have holes in them.

Needs more facilities - no table, heating, TV, soaps or shampoos, etc in bathroom.

The toilet leaked and the shower dripped all night! The second morning there was a problem with the power supply. I reckon if the kitchen space was made available (we were in the upper unit whose kitchenette was closed because it is used as storage space) I would be willing to pay slightly more for the accommodation instead of relying on the expensive restaurants for meals. And of course a TV would have been welcome for my elderly mother.

Peaceful, quiet surroundings, neat facilities and secure parking. We checked in late and were able to sleep late the next morning undisturbed. Host was available all the time and receptive to special requests.

Clean, tidy and less than 1 km from the town and main street. But if you want the comfort of carpets, some form of room heating and also a bit more coziness, you should look elsewhere.
