We stayed at Number 3. An immaculate fresh modern apartment. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a very lengthy stay if desired - oven, airfryer, crockery, utensils etc. The king-size bed was comfortable. A perfect stopover for us on our way to the Kgalagadi. We will be back!

Was very well received by Tannie Hester and we were even able to check in an hour early as we were there early. Place was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Would recommend it anytime and I myself would stay there again anytime. Had a great stay.

Perfect! Booked the unit 2 hours before we got to Springbok and yet the place was perfect. The host even had milk in the fridge for us and rusks for the coffee.

Lovely oasis in the middle of nowhere! Totally unexpected and pleasantly surprised. Very clean and neat. A suggestion to the owner to consider an air-conditioner in the lounge as well, temperature was 35°C, although we could escape to air-conditioned bedrooms. Overall a lovely stay.
The apartment is neat, clean and excellently equipped. There is everything one needs for a self-catering unit. It is incredibly quiet and beautiful. Even full DSTV! Springbok itself was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend anyone to visit this village and stay at Chef's @ 6 Self Catering Units. Note, if you were to drive to see the Orbiculus stone, the road is bad and should not be attempted with a flat car.

We left Windhoek in summer clothes and arrived at Springbok in freezing weather. There was also Eskom load shedding. But nothing bothered us. There was power, WiFi, DStv and a warm blanket! The place is brand new. What particularly stood out to us as tourists was the nice big fridge and freezer section.
Ons was daar op een van die koudste en natste dae in die hartjie van load shedding. Daar was electric blankets, inverters, DStv, WiFi, a cleaning service, you name it, it was all there. Was a very nice stay after a week of camping. Unit is well equipped and very tidy. Their location is also well situated on the side of the town towards the hills. We were able to take a quick walk to the top of one of the hills to stretch our legs after the long drive.
We arrived very late due to various reasons, but we were received kindly and even with the load shedding everything was fine for us. We all agreed that it was the nicest overnight stop we had visited in a long time. It was nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful home after spending 10 days camping in the Richtersveld. Our only regret is that we didn't stay a day longer. Next time in Springbok we will correct it.

The accommodation at Chef's @ was perfect in every aspect for our 3 couples of friends' 1-night sleepover, 27th May 2022 on the way back to Vredenburg from Namibia. The road in the residential area needs serious attention with the many 'potholes' but we understand that this is something beyond Hester and Johan's control, their service was good, no complaints - we definitely recommend this place for travelers who want to spend the night in Springbok.
