An incredible weekend. We honestly can't wait to go again! The pool, boma and house are much closer to each other than they appear. Mabilingwe's main living area is walking distance from the house.
The accommodation was as described. Unfortunately the heaters 'disappeared'. The house is very well equipped with all kinds of cutlery and utensils. The wild boars are a bit of a problem in the evenings, maybe you need to work on it a bit, it can scare people who have never experienced it before. Michelle was very quick to respond to any questions, which was appreciated!
Stay was very nice. Just a pity the elephants didn't come to visit.
Wonderful, peaceful and tranquil. The location was perfect, the unit was very clean and had all the necessary equipment.
We really had a great time relaxing over the 4 days. The unit is very well furnished, the owner and the husband and wife who came to clean in the mornings were very friendly. It was fun to watch all the animals as they moved past, and my kids could swim for hours on end, while we barbecued and socialized in the boma.

As a family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bush house was comfortable and there were daily wildlife encounters just on our doorstep. The playgrounds and pools were close by, and it was awesome to have a small pool at the house, which entertained the children while the adults enjoyed the boma. I would highly recommend a stay at Chill-'n-Biki Lodge Mabalingwe; great value, excellent service from the team, and a lovely family bush getaway.

We had daily visits by a variety of animals, big and small, which was wonderful to watch while eating on the patio. We met the owners who are very friendly. They even called us to let us know where they had spotted a herd of elephants. We drove out to the spot and were delighted to see the magnificent animals. I highly recommend this accommodation and thank the owners for the chilled stay.

To say someone goes out of their way does not explain what Michelle did to make our long awaited family vacation a reality. The universe and man-made elements may have been against us with unforeseen circumstances, but I can declare this vacation as the best and most memorable vacation yet! Everything was fantastic, from making the arrangements with Michelle, the cleaners, to the facilities. The best of course were the rhinos that came to hang out on the porch, the daily interaction with the nyalas, kudus, warthogs, squirrels and hornbills, and the elephants that trumpet to scare you (especially at night, hehehe). The relaxation and rest was on another level, I had to look for my phone every time because I didn't know where I left it last. It was almost not even necessary to go to the common recreation area, because you have everything you would need within a 15m radius. We return again with the greatest love and anticipation!

We had a great time. Had everything we could need. Nice boma and braai area. Children really enjoyed it and just a short walk to the playground for the children.

Ideal getaway holiday. Wish we could stay longer. We didn't even need to drive around to see the wild animals. They all came to visit Chill-n-Biki: from hippos, to elephants, goats and wild boars. It was a great experience for my young team. We will go back for sure.

Animals came to visit all the time. House was comfortable with all amenities. The beds could be upgraded a bit the mattresses are not very comfortable and there could be lighter outside by the boma and patio during load-shedding. Overall a great stay.
The unit is well furnished, neat and clean. The cell phone signal is weak and we could hardly wish my overseas grandson a happy birthday. The weather was exceptionally warm and the little pool was a winner. The unit's location was excellent. The wildlife is very good and we were able to watch birds from the pool.
It is so that the "domesticated" wildlife comes to meet on the stoep. Our toddlers have never had the opportunity to get so close to real animals. It was extremely special. The entertainment area at Maba is also well equipped for small children. However, the pool does not have a net on it. We couldn't swim because of the cold. So we had to keep a close eye on the little things. We were also grateful for the cleaning service, but the quality of the deep cleaning could improve, sorry to say. I would like to know this in advance.

There are many animals visiting the house, we were even surprised with a herd of 16 elephants, absolutely fantastic!. I can't wait to go again, I will never go to Mabalingwe again without staying at Chill-'n-Biki. Love the place!
We had such a nice vacation. The facilities were great, the location is awsome. We were visited 3 times by the elephants, 2 times by buffalo as well as 2 evenings by the manatees, as well as many other wildlife that stopped by every day. We really relaxed it was definitely one of the best holidays. Michelle, thank you very much for your hospitality. We will definitely visit there again.

Three of our family members use the Cell C service provider, even if we choose the option of multiple networks we had no reception or any signal of any kind, it was quite a problem. The DSTV did not work either. But we still enjoyed the break. Thank you.

The location couldn't be better, the visit we had from different animals was unsurpassed and exceptional! We met the owners, friendly and helpful people. The highlight of our stay was the visit of one herd of elephants, one of 10, was so special and exciting. We look forward to our next visit!

Very neat and clean rooms and sleeping facilities. Each sleeping area has its own bathroom and nothing is lacking in the kitchen. Boma, braai area and swimming pool were the icing on the cake. Blerrie nice place.
So many animals seen right at the comfort of your front porch. Even had elephants at the pool. It's a very special place. We all enjoyed it so much! We are already making plans to return next year!
The house is lovely and comfortable with all the amenities. The animals visit the house frequently throughout the day and night. The house is also close to the shop and swimming pools. It was very pleasant to sit around the fire at night. We enjoyed our two night stay at the house and can honestly recommend it to others.
It's a fantastic place, the animals all came to say hello, even the elephants came to drink water from the pool. The beds sleep well and the cottage is really very pleasant to stay in with a nice living room to visit. Just a point of attention: the pool gets very sandy on the bottom, maybe run the pump occasionally so the water can be filtered. If you want to rest and like the feeling of the forest, then Chill-n-Biki Lodge is for sure the right place. What an experience to sit outside, and see the goats drinking water, a few steps from us.
This was our final bush break in Africa before we emigrate to the UK. Our last time with family and wow! it did not disappoint! The accommodation was fabulous and the bush gave her very best farewell by way of visits by the Ellies, kudu, Nyala, hornbills and so much more. A most memorable stay. Im only sorry I never knew about this gem sooner so as to gave enjoyed it more often. Thank you to the owners, a big thumbs up!
We will definitely visit Chill-'n-Biki again. If you really need rest, the net is the place for you. Michelle and cleaning services were very helpful and the place was always clean and tidy. We as animal lovers enjoyed the place where we saw the elephants, warthogs, wild boars, goats and so many bird species.
The place is stunning, animal encounter was next level. The pool area is not as private as one thought as the workers came around to the pool area a few times.

The whole experience was positive. Good and friendly service. It was our first holiday with our baby and it was so special and precious - he thoroughly enjoyed himself and cried when we had to go into the house. Chil-'n-biki is what the name says except you chill not biki - you just chill a lot!

We had a great time relaxing for five days in the nature and tranquility of Mabilingwe. There was an influx of all the forest visitors all the time (which we enjoyed immensely). Unfortunately, we didn't encounter much other wildlife on our drives. There was the anticipation every night of our bonfire and barbecue. I even ventured into the pool twice (which was a great experience). Michelle responded promptly to any inquiry and immediately offered help where needed. We would definitely like to return to Chill-'n-Biki one day.
No elephants, hippo past the lodge, regular visits from kudu, warthogs, bush pig, bush buck and njala. Great. Lodge is good although cutlery and utensils need to be replaced.
Most amazing experience ever. Nature so beautiful and it's very peaceful. My teenager has not once asked to watch TV. We had the time of our lives as a family. We played cards and just enjoyed ourselves as a family. Again unfortunately not playing along for the cold pool but we were brave and at least gave it a try. Eiernaars very concerned about our visit. The game drive was a wonderful experience, many thanks to Ethiene the ranger, he was so friendly and I think he's the best ranger I've ever met. The cleaning service was a bonus and staff very friendly.
Cobwebs in the oven, dirty towels, lacks privacy as the one curtain rail was damaged with no curtain, nothing additional to assist with power failures, power off when you arrive in the evenings 17:00 to 21:30, off again from just past 6 in the morning, couldn't make coffee in the mornings. At R3200 per night mid-week for 3 adults you would expect more. The TV channels could not be changed even for normal free channels, the fridge door was damaged and difficult to close and had not been cleaned for a long time.

We had a truly fantastic holiday at Chill-'n-Biki. We had Elephants drinking from the pool while we stood just a few metres away, as well as visitors such as buffalo, kudu, nyala, ostriches, warthogs, bush pigs, guinea fowl, francolins, hornbills just to name a few. Chill-'n'-Biki feels very welcoming, comfortable and has a well-equipped kitchen. Highly recommended and will stay here again!

Many thanks to Michelle for her friendly communication during our stay. We had an incredible time at Chill-'n-Biki where we kicked off our pns shoes and literally chilled by the pool while the nyalas, warthogs and kudus moved around the house. The highlight was the group of elephants about 50 m away from the house, it was an experience! I can recommend Mabalingwe and Chill-'n-Biki to anyone from young to old. It was one of the most enjoyable holidays in the forest. The house exceeded our expectations. We definitely see Chill-n-Biki again in the future.
We had a great stay. Michelle was very accommodating. There were one or two minor little hiccups as there normally would be, She sorted them out immediately. Michelle was always available the time we were there and even before we arrived. Pool was freezing cold which we found strange as it was so hot there but we still had a vey enjoyable time in the pool. Children loved it and also the loved the daily warthog visits.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Chil-'n-Biki and will definitely be back. Close enough to Joburg for a weekend getaway. The house is a great size, is equipped with everything you need. Perfect location.
It was nice and quiet yet close to everything. Our little girl really enjoyed the pool, and that we could walk to the child-friendly activities. We saw more animals while we were at the chalet than driving around, they come to say hello from morning to night. I would recommend that there is always a can of Doom on the premises or that guests bring it with them, the ants kind of take over the kitchen.

A comfortable home that meets all needs. Very nice boma where you can relax until late at night next to a bushveld fire. Neat bedrooms and bathrooms and a very well-equipped kitchen. The entire family left begrudgingly to go home. Will definitely go again. The animals that came to visit were a bonus. We, unfortunately, could not see the elephants even though we went looking for them. Will definitely come again. Unfortunately, the September long weekend has already been booked.

Awesome experience - just remember you're in the wild. The animals seemed unusually comfortable around people. I recommend doing some of your own research on elephants and how to read their behavior. I would definitely go again and again and again.

Very privileged to see many animals, elephants were literally 7 steps away from us. The pool is a good cool down for the afternoon so it was the best holiday ever.
Michelle is an excellent hostess. Everything was fine, clean and very comfortable. The nyalas, kudus, warthogs and wild boars visited us every day and kept the children busy for hours. Our getaway highlight was when the herd of elephants visited us one evening and calmly drank water as they moved between the houses. Kalahri Oasis was a nice experience and we saw a lot of game on our own game drives. We will definitely visit you again.
The elephants stopped by the boma on the first night. We saw more game at our boma than on the game drives. We had a great time and will definitely go back again! Michelle, the host woman, is also very pleasant and helpful. We honestly cannot give any negative criticism. We were very impressed with the unit itself and the service we received. You get good value for your money!
The location of Chill-'n-bitjie is within walking distance of many amenities such as the tennis courts and small shop and the location is between all the animals.
We had a fabulous stay at Chill-'n-Biki Lodge and would not hesitate to recommend it. The lodge was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and ideally equipped. We spent hours relaxing outside at the gorgeous pool and braai areas, where a constant stream of animals came to enjoy the waterhole. We were fortunate to have close encounters with kudu, nyala, warthog, impala, klipspringer, bush pig and an entire herd of buffalo, without leaving the deck. In addition we enjoyed numerous game drives where we viewed plentiful game and some of the most stunning views imaginable. The putt putt was fun, the staff friendly, and the owner Michelle could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We hope to return to this piece of paradise, and very soon.
Michelle is a very nice hostess who communicated excellently with us throughout. The house was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you need - more than you usually find in self-catering units. All equipment, geyser etc. worked The swimming pool was spotless and the boma a lovely place to hang out around the fire in the evening. Michelle was even kind enough to allow us to vacate the house later than the check-out time as there were no other guests booking directly after us. The house is very well located near other facilities in the resort, most of which were available to us free of charge. Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay! We recommend Chill-'n-Biki with great confidence and are already planning our next visit there.

The house is equipped with everything that may be needed. The wildlife comes to visit Chill-'n-Biki, our granddaughter was amazed by the wildlife that comes to visit. We will book there again one day.

The house is close to the shop and swimming pool area, within walking distance. The house itself has everything you need. Nice and clean swimming pool, very nice cozy braai area, air conditioning, 3 clean and tidy en-suite bedrooms, etc. We were 7 people, and stayed comfortably. Michelle communicated well with us and quickly sorted out the one small problem for us. Many animals came to visit, large groups of warthogs with young, kudus, nyalas, impalas, etc. The only thing to be aware of is that the house is not completely in the forest, but is part of the Elephant Lodge complex. But the entertainment area (braai and swimming pool) overlooks the forest, and you don't see other people. We look forward to staying there again. Thanks Michelle!
There are no words for how much fun we had. The place is amazing! Buffaloes 3 meters from us, wild boar, kudus, nyalas and warthogs around the house all the time. A whole family of monkeys comes to greet us with a small baby clinging to mother. Everything you need at home. We will definitely go back again!

Thank you for the opportunity we had to stay at Chill-'n-Biki Lodge. The accommodation was perfect for five adults and three children. Everything we needed was supplied, the bedrooms are spacious and the en-suite bathrooms a winner. We had daily visits by the warthogs, aardvark, kudus and nyalas, to the delight of all. The early-morning game drive booked through Mabalingwe's game rangers was fantastic with many animal sightings. Chill-'n-Biki Lodge will be added to my family's favourite list. The owners of the house go out of their way to make sure that everything in the place is ready and neat. I could contact the lady at any time if I had a question or was uncertain and she helped. We had a great time here from the moment we arrived until we unfortunately had to pack up! The animals and bird life were exceptional! Owner goes to great lengths to accommodate guests and make them feel welcome. The ideal destination for a weekend away to relax or with a family with children who need to be kept busy.
Need to check the globes more often if it still works. The lapa has no lights. The upstairs room has one globe working. TV was working the next day, but not when we arrived. They need to have at least tea or coffee even though it's self-catering.
We had a wonderful time at Chill-a-Bietjie! The place is excellently located, walking distance to the main pool and shop. The warthogs, impalas and birds that came to visit us every day were extremely exciting, especially for the children! We "chilled" so much we didn't even turn on the TV! Would definitely recommend the place to people who just want to get away, even if it's just for a weekend!
Very comfortable and tastefully decorated accommodation with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your vacation in Mabalingwe. The braai-lapa is pure joy to use and we had a great time around the camp fire at night. The frequent visits from some of the neighbourhood animals provide additional entertainment. The house is located within 3 minute walking distance from the entertainment complex with free putt-putt, tennis, squash, outdoor chess, kids play area and BBQ facilities. The well stocked shop and coffee shop are also there and another 112 rock steps will take you up the steep hill-side to the heated pool at main reception. That will also give you that kilo-joule burn so that you enjoy your next meal even more at the fantastic restaurant next to the reception area. Michelle and Hennie are awesome hosts and were very helpful when we had questions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway weekend! The children rode their bikes wonderfully and safely and the animals that walked by every now and then caused great excitement. The chalet was well equipped and very tidy and we lacked nothing. Michelle was also just a phone call away if anything was missing. Will definitely visit again.

We were a group of friends who went to enjoy a weekend getaway at Chil-'n-Biki. I would definitely refer anyone looking for a beautiful weekend in the bushveld.
I would highly recommend staying at Chill-'n-Biki lodge in Mabalingwe. We had an amazing time. Everything you need is there. It's a real "home away from home". Especially love the Boma area!

What a lovely weekend away at Chill-'n-Biki lodge Mabalingwe. The unit is beautiful, everything was neat and clean, each room its own bathroom with the swimming pool and children's play area within walking distance. The warthogs and wild boars came to greet us every day. Michelle had been very friendly and was ready to welcome us! I would definitely recommend it for a nice rest and family weekend with friends and family. We look forward to our next visit!

It was a fantastic and special break. The place to stay is great. The animals that visit the house make it unforgettable. The owner's care is the icing on the cake.

The service/accommodation was very nice. Maybe the bedding can be replaced. White marks on the sheet in red bedroom and fitted sheet has a tear in. Will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Centrally located in Mabalingwe, walking distance to swimming pool and leisure facilities. Neat spacious house, which is serviced every day, just to add to a nice relaxing visit! Boma to fully appreciate the woodland feel. Spacious bedrooms, with showers and large baths. Can recommend Chill 'n Biki, and we will definitely be visiting again.
The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished. Bathrooms are neat and clean. Very convenient that each room has its own bathroom. Kitchen is comfortable. Children can watch children's stories on TV. Boma likes to hang out around the fire. Nice close to swimming pools and play park. You just feel at home.
Michelle, the owner, made us feel at home. She kept contact to make sure everything was in order. You just chill on the patio and the animals come right up to the patio, great place for birders too. All the rooms were spacious and the boma is a nice place to socialize around the fire in the evening. Will definitely be back. We enjoyed it so much and the service was excellent.
We spent 4 days at Chill-'n-Biki lodge with my 2 small children under 2, and our parents. On arrival we were greeted by the welcoming committee and the warthogs soon become regular visitors. The unit accommodated 6 grownups very comfortably and was equipped with everything we needed. The lodge was walking distance from the swimming pool, kids play area and shop. We had a fantastic family bush weekend, and will definitely return! Thank you Michelle for making sure everything was perfect for our stay at Chill-'n-Biki lodge.
You can't get any closer to nature, it was incredibly neat and the most beautiful place ever - an elephant visited us at the boma while we were grilling it was unbelievable.
Enjoyed the stay. Very quiet and peaceful, only the monkeys were a bit annoying. Would suggest a gauze in front of the windows that can open! They jump over your head into the house to steal the fruit while we sit inside. Couldn't leave any door or window open. Yet still value for money!

This is a beautiful and convenient place. Away from the hustle and bustle but not totally isolated from civilisation. We really enjoyed the animals and nature. Will recommend it to anyone.
Chill-'n-Biki lodge is amazing, close to the important places in Mabalingwe, but far enough so you have enough privacy. Perfect mix of modern and retro, very neat and pretty on the inside, but there is a bushveld vibe in the house. Warthog visit daily, monkies steal the sugar if you don't seal it properly, and an awesome boma area where you can chat away the hours and experience the bush. Was a pleasure to meat Michelle the owner. Her friendly service and attention summed up the experience perfectly.

Here you can rest and experience everything from the forest that you would like to experience. Beautiful, spacious en suite-bedrooms with all the possible facilities. The nice private boma is of course a plus. 10 out of 10 for Chill-'n-Biki lodge.

Lounge 2 seater needs replacing. Lounge/open plan kitchen requires serious cooling. Cleaning in general could be improved upon.
Firstly the good. The place is clean and the rooms are as per the pictures. The not so good. The pictures on the web at the time we booked showed a deck that overlooked water. This sounded great as you could relax on the deck while waiting to see if any animals came to drink. The problem is that these photos are from the restaurant nearby and not part of the accommodation. There is no view from the accommodation and not much place to relax when you were not on a game drive. One night it started to rain and we were woken by water dripping onto our bed. The website indicates TV's in every room. There are in some rooms but these don't work.

The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the main swimming pool, a putt-putt course, a tennis court, a squash court, a children’s play area, a pool table, a big chess board, heated swimming pools, a restaurant, and the farm shop.
The house can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children. There are 3 en-suite bedrooms, each fitted with a bath, a shower and a toilet. Other in-room facilities include a fully equipped open-plan kitchen and living area; the kitchen is equipped with a microwave, an electric oven and stove, a fridge/freezer, and cutlery and crockery. Full DStv is also available. Guests can enjoy braai’s in their own private boma while listening to the sounds of the bushveld.

Game drives is free when you drive with your own vehicle or you can book a game drive at reception.
