Chobe River Camp
Chobe River Camp
Chobe River Camp

Accommodation is offered in 20 luxury tented chalets, offering magnificent views across the spectacular Chobe River from a private deck. Each chalet is solar-powered and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a toilet. Each chalet is equipped with mosquito nets fitted over comfy beds. Guests can charge their technical appliances in the main building as there are no plugs in the chalets.
The highlight of the main building is to observe the activity of the immediate floodplains from the lounge decks and comfy couches, all from elevated decking. Watch the camp’s chefs prepare the meals in their open, interactive kitchen. Meals are served in the dining room, from where guests can enjoy lovely views. Meals can also be enjoyed outside by the warmth of an inviting fire in the open fire pit. With a bit of luck, you may see large herds of elephants, buffalo and antelope.
The lodge offers a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi in the main building, 24-hour security, a laundry service, and secure parking. Electricity is supplied by generators and solar panels. Seasonal activities can be booked at the camp for an additional per-person charge, these include boat cruises, guided walking trails, canoe trips, bird watching excursions, and an excursion to Victoria Falls.

3 guests' feedbackVery nice stay, place listing on website is just wrong.
I found the whole place relaxing and as stated on the site. Saw lots of animals next to the river. Definitely, a great place to stay!
The lodge is name is 'Chobe River Lodge' but it is not located on the side of the Big 5 game of Chobe park. It is the most beautiful lodge but has no wildlife experience. The website should make it clear that the name is misleading and that one will not encounter Chobe at the lodge. Make it clear that the lodge is on the Namibian side which is not on the wildlife side of the reserve. Second, do not send any SA guests to the lodge as the Covid procedures make it impossible to even drive across the border to Chobe for game viewing. With Covid, the regulation is that the test is only valid for 72 hours and you have to go to Katima Namibia for a retest if you want to go back and forth and it is a long process and very unpleasant with the unhelpful border officials. Second, the test is not valid for re-entry, so round trip to Chobe Park is completely out of the question. The boats can't move either because the river is too low. The boats are indeed marketed by the website and this is again misleading.
