Perfect for a getaway from the city!
Load shedding is a problem. There was a light available but would suggest load shedding bulbs and maybe a UPS for WiFi.
Neat accommodation and Koen and his wife are from Belgium and they make me feel welcome.
Good location for exploring the Riebeek Valley. Excellent service from our hosts - a lovely room with direct access to the breakfast area and what a great breakfast it was. Would highly recommend and we will return.
Neat and clean, everything you need for a sleepover. The location is very easy to find. Good security and there is provision for light during load shedding. Delicious breakfast made by the owners.
We had a very nice stay. The room was nice and tidy, and the view of the pool and the garden creates a calm, relaxed feeling. It was nice to have a room with a veranda where you could sit privately. The room was conveniently connected to the breakfast room, so you could make yourself coffee throughout the day and use the facilities for cooking. The host and wife were very friendly and made us a delicious breakfast. The host also gave us a lot of information about where to eat and what there is to do and see in the towns.

I arrived very late due to a late flight and then the road was also closed from Cape Town to Riebeek West due to an accident which meant I arrived half an hour later. The lady in charge was super friendly even though I got there so late and even gave me a key so I could get myself coffee and biscuits in the dining room. The rooms were very clean and tidy and it was deathly quiet. I slept great. Would definitely recommend the place and stay there again if I come to those regions.
Koen and his wife who run the guest house made me feel welcome immediately. Everything I needed was available, even an umbrella with the sudden rain. The accommodation was neat and clean, the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely use their services again. I can recommend the stay with an open heart.

Very neat overnight accommodation. Room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. Friendly welcome - we asked for permission to check in an hour earlier because we were coming for a wedding and our request was granted. We would have liked coffee facilities in our room - we had access to coffee in the breakfast room, but if you get up and are still in your pajamas, you would like to be able to make coffee in your room.
Nice clean guest house and room, nice breakfast with self-help pre-breakfast and freshly prepared hot breakfast. Two very friendly and approachable owners and thoroughly informed of what was needed. Loved the king size bed. Our visit was during load shedding in the evening, if applicable suggest that guests bring a flashlight or light, the room has 2 'tea candles' and matches for lighting available in the room. Will stay again if we visit the area, especially liked that they offer a selection of coffee, and that includes filter coffee. Good parking inside which is easily accessible.

Our beautifully decorated rooms were clean and neat and we were spoilt with a scrumptious breakfast on Sunday morning. We were really pleasantly surprised with a painstakingly neat room, great service, tasty and sufficient breakfast. Parking area is a bit tight if you drive a large vehicle but we enjoyed it immensely and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Beautiful garden and clean pool area. Great, great, great. It is a beautiful guest house in which we immediately felt at home. Rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated. The guesthouse owners were also very friendly. We had a delicious breakfast the next morning. We would like to come home here again.

Church Hills is located in a quiet neighborhood; well cared for and Koen is a warm host. Our spacious room had a nice view of the pool. Although we did not request breakfast, we were welcome to make coffee in the adjacent dining room. Would definitely recommend it.

The owner, Koen, received me very kindly and I immediately felt at home. Everything was clean and tidy and there was also an area in the garden where my dogs could walk. I had to get up early to attend a dog show in Malmesbury and Koen and his wife prepared a special breakfast for me. It's a shame I couldn't stay longer, because I would have liked to explore Riebeek-Wes.

We arrived and had choice of room to stay in. It was cold and the owners gave us additional heating to warm the room. We met them unofficially at the Italian restaurant in Riebeeck Kasteel and they were happy to engage in conversation. Breakfast was amply provided with a relaxed demeanour. Very enjoyable stay. Friendly welcome, access to kitchen and facilities is a bonus. Breakfast deliciously prepared. Spacious room and bathroom. I would only recommend a mosquito net, as well as maintenance of the towel rail and roof fan in the Summer Room.

Despite the cold and rainy weather we enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom were very neat and clean. I think it would be awesome in summer with the nice swimming pool in the garden. Would definitely book there again.

Having been married on the day we were given a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate. Our hosts ensured all our needs were met. They guided us to see all the sights and attractions that they felt were worth visiting, which we did the following day, and were well impressed. Thank you again, we had a great time!

Lovely welcome from Koen and his wife. The pictures on the website are not what it looks like now. The garden is bland and the room decor was old and felt dirty. The other rooms are much nicer and I don't understand why the room is so neglected against the others. We were the only people there and could easily have got one of the other rooms. We will stay there again if we can get another room. It may not be exactly as beautiful as the pictures on the website; but is good value for money. Would not recommend staying there if you plan to be there all the time. It is more of a place to lay your head and start your day than a holiday resort.
Photos on LekkeSlaap are not of the standard rooms. At R900 per room it is not value for money when compared to other places to stay. Really short of other curtains and bed linen. There was a crack in the wall and where the bags had to go the wall was full of marks. They advertise satellite TV there was only one channel on the small TV. Nice environment very safe and nice pool.

Koen and Veronique were willing to receive us after the check-in time. We traveled from Mpumalanga, and didn't arrive with them until after 9.30pm. Koen was there to receive us immediately, so friendly, so helpful, and he then gave us an overview of the valley, and discussed a whole travelers map with tourist destinations, places to eat and things to do. Veronique also came to chat with us at that time of the evening, and immediately made us feel at home. They are two fantastic people, with a heart for hospitality and guests. The rooms were beautiful, the breakfast delicious, and our weekend like an absolute dream! Thank you Koen and Veronique, and thank you LekkeSlaap.
Church Hills will see us again. The owners are and feel like old lost family and the whole place feels like home. The azure blue pool attracts you during the day and in the evening the lighting also encourages you to cool off late at night in the pool. The breakfast room is so conveniently part of your own room and delicious coffee is available 24/7. The green grape arbor that keeps the porches cool is also very beautiful. All the air conditioners work and the roof fans don't make noise... in my books that's a big plus because I don't like getting hot.

Breakfast was very nice and cozy. There is also no reason to ever worry, it feels very safe there. Fantastic and top notch!
The owners went out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Clean and well-maintained rooms with access to a self-catering kitchen with coffee/tea and biscuits from the county. The owners are personally involved and they also know their surroundings very well and can make recommendations on what to do/see.

Upon our arrival there was a bit of confusion regarding our booking, but all was sorted out quickly and with a smile. We had a lovely room with aircon which was needed on that cold and windy day. And our bed was up to standard: no back pain the next morning and with back problems, that is an achievement!

The charms of Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch are just one hour away and in total contrast, the quaint fishing villages of the West Coast can also be reached within the hour.
