Please clean up bunch of keys.
I have stayed at various places across South Africa and it has always been convenient and easy. You do the search, find what you need, book it, pay and lo and behold everything is arranged, ready and ready to just turn up. Not the case with Church Street House. There were extra costs involved. Always included in the price with all the previous places I booked. The R1000 extra for crockery which I still haven't received back two days later and R500 for cleaning. I have no problem with it and paid, would have liked it to have been included in the price for no surprises after booking. I was very busy that day and had to pick up the keys from their office during working hours, but after I received the keys, they were left there. After a long struggle with the bunch of keys, where no one let me know which door was which, I called the office again. I have never had so much inconvenience at a place we rented. Church Street House is lovely but a lot of effort if you want to relax.
Everything was beyond my expectations, modern furniture, the bathroom feels like you are bathing outside in nature. I am very impressed.
The directions to get the keys not clear at all. They say which centre, but not which business.
Church Street House is beautiful with everything you could need. We had a very good stay and will definitely return. It is an old semi-detached house that has been newly renovated, unfortunately you can hear the neighbours' TV and the bedrooms are next to the busy Church Street with wooden framed windows that can make a noise if the wind blows. The big bath is fantastic as well as the large walk-in shower. The fireplace in the living room was so cosy, it is just a pity that we couldn't use the fireplace in the bedroom.
We were 4 friends attending a school reunion, the place was lovely modern with everything you need. The decor is incredibly beautiful and the bathroom fantastic. The location is central, we were 1 km from where we needed to be in the evening. For us who come from the farm, the busy street is something to get used to, but noise is what you will get if you stay in the center of town. It's quite a process to get the key though, better directions to the office would be appreciated!
