48 guests' feedbackWas bitterly cold in Philippolis but the accommodation was well furnished with warm blankets, electric blanket and air conditioning. Slept wonderfully cuddly. Safe parking. Well equipped.
We had a wonderful stay. The hostess is very friendly and helpful.
No milk for morning coffee, no hot water in the shower, WiFi not working. All of these were unimportant.

Clean. Tidy. Practical. Sitting on the stoep is very nice to take in the village's sounds and people. Pit stop is walking distance and everything there is nice. I highly recommend the place.

Very nice quiet and peaceful overnight. The bonus was to cut out a large section of the N1 between Colesberg and Bloemfontein.
Quiet village with lovely old houses where you can deviate a bit from the busy N1 and experience the countryside. Very good value for money and friendly people.

Enjoyed sleeping over in such a small town, dead quiet in the evening, and you can walk wherever you want to go. Just think the costs are a bit on the high side.
Our overnight stop was very nice, very sorry we couldn't stay longer. Friendliest service yet! Extra effort is made with kitchen and bathroom accessories - something you don't just expect from a self-catering. We felt like we were in a fancy hotel. The house is furnished with all that you need and a full kitchen. The main room has aircon. Comfortable and restful stop after a long drive.

I just want to raise two points. Please see this as positive criticism. There are cooking utensils in the room, but no stove/hot plate. There is also crockery, but no cutlery. It just doesn't make good sense. Other than that, everything was fine.
The accommodation is dog friendly, which was the most important requirement for us. Secure parking. Fully fenced for the dogs. Comfortable braai place. Within walking distance of everything in town. Good quality white linen, nice pillows and enough blankets. Well-equipped kitchen for 'self-catering', all that is missing is a plastic cup that can be used in the microwave. Beautiful, modern shower, we just struggled to get the water temperature regulated - was either just too hot or too cold. We highly recommend the stay.
We had a really nice rest for the next day's journey. The accommodation was excellent. Marietjie welcomed us in a friendly manner and made us feel completely at home. Will definitely stay there again.
We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. It is very neat and clean. We loved the antiques and the wooden floor. The rooms are very spacious. I would recommend anyone to make the effort to spend at least one night there. This is going to be a regular stopover for us.

Everything in the house was perfect except for 2 points: One towel was dirty. There was no bath soap in the shower/bathroom.
My review is based more on the potential of this place, than what I experienced myself, since on arrival the owners moved me from my unit to a newer unit which is still being renovated. There was a problem with a geyser in my original unit. It is very chaotic in the back yard, but that's because of the construction and it wouldn't be fair to be negative about it and judge them based on this.
Neat and clean, but no TV, even though it was advertised as such. Our unit didn't have any coffee mugs either - not acceptable for self-catering accommodation.
Very neat place in the "Tuis Huis" of the Cilliers family. Remember to ask Marietjie about a place to eat in town. Unfortunately we didn't know and ate cold fast food that we bought in Colesberg. We will definitely stay here again, just longer to enjoy the area.
The house is fully equipped. The bathroom is big and the bed perfect.
The house was beautiful, spacious and well equipped for self-catering. There was someone to meet us and show us around. The only thing we would've liked to see is a chair/surface in the bathroom to put toiletries/clothing on. Lovely place to unwind after a long day's travel.
When we arrived in Philippolis and the number of Ms. Cilliers calls, she does not answer her phone. We leave a message and ask that she call us back. Hear nothing from her. Happily find out in town that the person knew she was at a certain business. She is in a meeting. We get the key from another lady. There is a TV, but no HTMI cable. We send Ms. Cilliers a text and mentions it and the next day she only answers. We are already gone there. There were no towels, only a tea towel. The geyser is not working effectively - the pressure is too weak to make the gas geyser work. Then the water is too cold and then too hot.
