As advertised, nice stay, every day on the beach.
We had a nice stay. Stairs style.
Fairly affordable and very nice area and safe.
It met our requirements and was very nice.
Think if the people were more friendly - and didn't complain every now and then when you swim, because the residents there don't look for other people vacationing in the pool. You feel quite unwelcome, we have stayed here before but, for sure you just get a funny vibe from people.
The cottage has everything one needs with many electric kitchen appliances. Within walking distance of the sea. Large, open beach with sand dunes like in the desert. Nice, securely fenced complex on the edge of the "lagoon".
Photos a bit misleading, place sleeps 6, but not big. Geyser was still down when we arrived no one prepared for our arrival. I would stay again but with a smaller group. I saw there was Wifi but there was none.
A self-catering must also make provision for when it rains so that guests can still visit outside by a fire. Make it comfortable at all times, we couldn't even sit outside because the wind was very bad.
Claptons 17 is truly a place to relax around the barbecue fire while the children swim under a watchful eye in the pool or canal with the roar of the sea in the background. You can even fish in the canal. In a few steps you are out of the security gate and onto the beach (mind you not a swimming beach) with 2 restaurants to choose from. The unit as well as the complex is neat and clean. Will definitely visit them again.
There were 3 light bulbs that were blown out and the owner expected me to fix it myself. We left it then and one room had no light. The fan's button was broken. The bathtub's nozzle did not fit in the shower unit and so we could not shower in the bathroom. The place should be checked and all fixed before new tenants move in. The kettle didn't work either, but luckily there was an extra kettle on top of the kitchen shelf. The owner also claimed a R450 cleaning fee which I was unaware of.
Beautiful apartment unit. Thank you that we could use your unit. It is a beautiful little place. Close to restaurants and shops. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Atmosphere is very hospitable. Everything is neat and clean, close to the beach.
The children really enjoyed it, especially since you can just walk through the back gate to the ocean.

Location is very beautiful, peaceful. Shower is too little water. We are crazy about the stickers. Key retrieval was very bad.

I am unhappy that on our arrival we were told by Deon Coetzee to pick up the key from another place in Jeffreys Bay and then go and drop it off there again later. I also feel it is absurd to have to pay R400 for a cleaning service after only 2 day's stay.

Although we only stayed there one night, we enjoyed the stay. Location is good and activities are nearby. Only one downside - all the posters and instructions are quite intimidating.
It is a very nice and well located place. Child friendly. It's almost my home away from home. Beach is very close and there are nice places to eat at the back gate. Safe, clean place and I really like the big lawn and the nice open pool will definitely visit again.
The place of residence is full of notices with rules. It doesn't make you feel like you can have a peaceful vacation. Rather, it makes you feel like a child at boarding school and not like a responsible adult. On arrival there was no remote control for the TV, we had to call the owner. The remote control was with him. The geyser was turned off and we only noticed it when we wanted to take a shower that night. They don't make you feel welcome at all. Owner could have informed us that we should turn on the geyser upon arrival. The accommodation is a duplex with very stylish stairs to the bedrooms. As my mother-in-law who is 80 years old was with me, it was a problem as she struggled with the stairs. She had to sleep on a very uncomfortable sofa bed in the lounge area. The fact that there are stairs should be indicated in the advertisement. The cleaning fee is also exorbitant.
