We had an amazing time! Place is gorgeous, clean and tidy.
One of our nicer places to stay that we have ever had. The owner even stopped by to make sure we were ok. There was everything we needed. The lawn for our kids was lovely, the fireplace works like a bomb and we had such a great time that we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a beautiful place that was clean and tidy.

We had a lovely stay at Clarens Escape. It is a lovely, modern unit and very clean. The unit has everything one can possibly need, from electric blankets to a fireplace to a lovely kitchen with all necessary appliances. The hostess was really friendly, helpful and always available.

Unit is nicely laid out with lots of space in the lounge/dining room which opens onto the patio. Morning coffee with dawn and a view of the mountains is the best. All facilities in the unit are of good quality and in working order.

Awesome new cottage that has all you need.
It was fairytale beautiful and it was close to everything and we were soon informed by Eward of load shedding, and there were lights available in the house. The load shedding didn't bother me at all with the nice fireplace and view.
As a family we enjoyed staying at the unit. It's neat, stylish and would recommend it to anyone. We would love to go back in the winter and sit in front of the fireplace and admire the mountains.

We have stayed in this unit before and are very happy with it, but were a bit disappointed that the cost for accommodation is exactly double the price of what it is throughout the year. One expects a slightly more expensive price during December, but is it the norm to double the price? This is the second time we have stayed in units that advertise king size beds in the master bedroom, where the bed is actually just a regular double bed. This is one of the things we specifically look at as criteria when deciding where to live. It is perhaps also important for other members to know.

We had a great stay at Clarens Escape Unit 1. The view from the patio is beautiful! The house is modern, very neatly presented and most importantly clean! The property does have a perimeter fence but unfortunately not secure for small breed dogs who could easily slip through and run onto the busy road.
We loved it and would go back to Clarens Escape.
The unit is spacious & was spotlessly clean & tidy. It has a well equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. However, there are a few issues. Clarens is extremely cold in winter & we found it strange that the duvets on the beds were summer duvets. There were electric blankets on the beds but if you are not comfortable using an electric blanket there is not the option of putting an extra blanket on as there were none available. The house is situated on the main road leading to the location & has a lot of traffic & pedestrians. If you are wanting a quiet country escape this is not the place for you.
A really great cottage, with everything you need for a great weekend away (even a dog bowl in case you forgot). Great views of the mountains. We will be back.

I would definitely recommend this accommodation, and Clarens is a lovely place. One has to stay there for more than one night - sleeping over for one night is hopelessly too short.
Clarens Escape definitely made our first visit to Clarens one for the books! The views were absolutely exceptional and so special to us! The house is beautifully laid out, the beds nice and comfortable, and the bathroom private with a lovely bath! The unit was exceptional and immediately made us feel like we were on vacation. We made so much time to just sit on the porch with a drink so we could enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains! We will definitely come back to Clarens Escape.
The humans as well as the dogs loved their stay. The unit was walking distance to the town, with a big garden for the dogs. The unit was modern with the convenience of Wi-Fi and a smart TV. The patio had a great view of the mountains creating a sense of space. We would want to come for five days next time!

If you want to get out of the city and not afraid to drive a bit, Clarens is a great place to go. Clarens escape has all you need to just unwind.
If you're on transit to Lesotho, this is the best place to take a breather before continuing with your journey.

Clarens Escape was even better than we expected. The house is newly refurbished with modern, state-of-the-art equipment, a fully-equipped modern kitchen, it is spacious and very tastefully designed. The highlight is the open terrace from which there are wonderful views of the area, quite spectacular. Another highlight for us was the fast WiFi connection which we used extensively. Edward, our host, was just perfect, he not only showed us the house but gave us a lot of valuable information about what to do and where to go. He was also particularly helpful when we had some car problems which he helped to solve. We hope we will be back soon, and then stay longer than just two nights!

The space was recently renovated and beautifully decorated. There is so much attention to detail, and extra amenities such as two-point plugs and firewood supplied to make our stay even more comfortable. I can definitely recommend staying at the Clarens Escape!
