The tastefully furnished cottage is nestled at the foot of the Rooiberg mountains, and offers lovely views of the mountain range. The cottage is only a few steps away from a small river and the start of wonderful hiking trails through the local Clarens Conservancy.
The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and its own bathroom. Soft bath towels, toiletries and slippers are provided for each guest. Both bath and shower facilities are available.
The open-plan kitchen and living areas open up onto a patio with a view of the mountains and garden. The lounge has a wood-burning fireplace and a smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with a small fridge, stove, microwave, and kettle.

Lovely few days in an extremely neat and well-equipped cottage. Large garden and close to the walking trails.
The cottage was close to both the town and the hiking trails. There was no need to use your vehicle as both were within walking distance. The cottage was neat and clean. Security was good and within a gated property. The cottage had two bedrooms that could easily accommodate four adults. The host was helpful and provided useful information for first-time visitors to Clarens. They checked in during our stay. A lovely place to stay.

The River Cottage was a fantastic stay; it was a short walk to the square and close to the walking trails. Jacquie was great with communication and could assist us with anything we asked for! The team was accommodating, and the home was beautiful to enjoy. We'll be back .
We felt so peaceful a long time ago. And everything was just as convenient. We walked everywhere precisely because it wasn't too far from the cottage. It was close enough to the town to be able to walk, but far enough not to hear the town's sounds. We will visit again.

Sink in one bathroom very small.
My husband had to go to the hospital and Jacqui immediately gave us all the information. I had to stay longer and Jacqui offered the room for free until they checked in new guests. Everything was incredibly neat, modern and punctual.
Anja and Jacquie were both very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed it immensely. Quietly sitting on the porch, with a beautiful view of both the mountains and the large expansive garden. Everything we needed was there. It was lovely and we would love to book into Clarens River Cottage again in the future. I would definitely recommend it.

Such a stunning place! I Love being close to town to walk into town. River Cottage is located right by the trails which is a bonus to go for walks into the mountain. Both Jacqui and Anja the owner were fantastic hosts. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The views from the garden onto the mountain is magnificent and the garden is any child's paradise to play in especially our son. We will definitely be back!
