Nothing fancy but a nice meal in the restaurant (choice of chicken schnitzel or steak). Clean rooms and a nice bacon and egg breakfast. Ticked the box for what we needed.
Thank you very much for the hospitality! The best chef and the nicest heart people. We felt at home and stayed very comfortably for 3 nights. Extra love to uncle and aunt.

We had a nice stay. Comfortable, cute place. Breakfast was nice. The gardens are beautiful and the view over the river is just as beautiful! The children enjoyed it immensely.
We had a wonderful and comfortable overnight stay at Clivia Lodge. It was actually just an overnight stay to attend athletics, but we were spoiled every morning with breakfast and delicious barbecue. The manager is very friendly and helpful. The driver's eye for one's needs and his extra effort certainly make the stop worth it. A special thank you to the manager for a great weekend getaway.
The warm hospitality and great meals make up for the road to Clivia Lodge. The shortest route according to the GPS is not always the best. Make sure of the best route.
My companion and I really enjoyed staying here. Neat rooms and the lodge has a very nice river front. Was worn on the hands during our stay and will definitely go there again.
We really enjoyed our time there and can recommend it to future travelers. However, we encountered two issues that slightly detracted from the stay. Firstly, we did not get the room we booked and paid for. I specifically booked the double storey unit with the master bedroom on the top floor and the children's room on the ground floor by the TV. The unit we got was a single story without a master bedroom. The double bed was literally in the living room by the TV. As a result, it was difficult when I wanted to go to bed and the kids might still want to watch TV. Secondly, we were given the option to get packed lunches for breakfast instead as we had to drive early every morning to the sporting event we were there for. Although the idea was very nice and the food parcels were on time every morning, the food parcels were extremely poor. We basically got a slice of bread with egg every morning. I really feel for the price for three nights stay, the breakfast could be better. Something like yogurt or muffins would be a nice change. We did not enjoy the breakfast one morning and had to stop somewhere for food for the children on the way to the sport. Because of these two problems, I feel that the price is too expensive for what one gets. Really not very good value for money. However, this is something that can be solved very easily by the management.

Apart from the fact that there were no aircons or fans in the rooms, the accommodation was nice and tidy.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and had a great meal. All our expectations were met.
