We arrived late because of delays caused by thick mist, roadworks, heavy rain, and eventually darkness. The host could not have been more helpful or patient when we phoned in to explain what was happening. We relaxed as soon as we arrived to her warm welcome, had a very pleasant evening in the spacious cottage, slept well, and went on our way refreshed.

Spacious, comfortable, quality beds and linen. Inverter and gas stove ensured load shedding wasn't an issue. The host is a warm, friendly and engaging person.
We had a very nice overnight stay in a very nice environment. The house is comfortable and very tidy. I love the wooden kitchen cabinets and furniture. Cathy was super friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Will be perfect in winter with snow on the mountains.

I so enjoyed staying at Coldstream cottage. The hosting by Cathy is superb, the cottage is well- appointed and very comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed the very peaceful farm ambiance and the very homely feel of Coldstream Cottage. A return visit is definitely on the cards.
We were looking for an overnight stay for a family of four while traversing the country. We found Coldstream Cottage and it met our needs perfectly. Cathy is a great hostess and ensured we were happy and comfortable. She also supplied wood for the open fireplace which came in handy on a cold night.
It's far from the nearest town, so you should take enough food with you. Very peaceful atmosphere.
