3 guests' feedbackI recommend the place to anyone who wants to experience tranquility. The only negative is that the DStv didn't work, but the DVD player made up for that.
The house is dirty, full of dust and cobwebs. You can't walk barefoot in the house, your feet are pitch black underneath. The house has a thatched roof, which kind of makes sense with the surface dust, but the cobwebs are in the rafters (not very high) and clearly haven't been touched with a duster in weeks or months. Not to mention the dirty windowsills, on top of the fridge, under the beds and the cobwebs under the coffee table and above our beds (ceiling/thatched roof)! The back and under the benches are also dirty - clearly not even wiped. There was no DStv (after the advert said there was a decoder - we packed our own DStv card), there was also no braaibak. It's basics that are missing! The bedding didn't feel clean either, there was also sand in the bed by the feet. They charge a R500 cleaning fee, but that house clearly hasn't been cleaned in at least 2-3 weeks. One would think this is done just before new people check in. At R500 someone should spend all day cleaning every nook and cranny every time before new people check in. The house is fantastically located and if only it was clean, it could be a lovely weekend.
We had a great stay at Conchea. The house was clean and tidy and walking distance from the beach.
