Located within walking distance of everything and secure parking and friendly helpful staff. Angelica at reception was excellent.
My husband and I prefer to stay here. It's such a beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly staff. They really make you feel 'at home'. Everyone goes out of their way to make it nice and comfortable for us.
Staying at Coopmanshuijs has been so nice every time. Staff really make you feel welcome and at home. Rooms are beautifully furnished and having lunch or dinner on the veranda is ideal! Then you really experience the 'vibe' of Stellenbosch.

Staff were friendly, the service was absolutely professional, and the location of the hotel is excellent. It was lovely to stay in such a historic street and building.

The windows from our room opened up into a little alleyway beside the neighboring restaurant. I could have lived with the view of cabbage heads and mops and buckets, but the noise of their generator and staff having a boisterous chat session from 06:00 (which would have made a New Delhi marketplace seem tranquil) was pushing it a bit far. I have absolutely no idea how the above can be described as '5 star luxury' and how they can let this room at all. I complained to the manageress and received a small discount. The gesture was appreciated, but I was still charged over two thousand rand for the honor of sleeping kitchen-alley-adjacent and left Coopmanhuijs wishing I'd just stayed at home. A very big let-down for our early Valentines' trip and I'm sure this is not the first complaint that they've had about this room.
