27 guests' feedbackIt was very nice for the short time, the owners were incredibly friendly although I feel it should have been emphasized early on that no smoking is allowed on the property. It wasn't shown anywhere, so it was a bit unpleasant.
Just make a TV that's all. Otherwise good enough for a temporary vacation spot. Will go there again anytime, even if I have to bring my own TV. Thank you Cork Tree Cottage you made my holiday.
Struggled with warm water. The owner was arrogant.
We were greeted at the gate by the owner, she was very friendly. The accommodation is beautiful, we had everything we needed. Beautiful swimming pool and it was nice and peaceful. There is no television but that did not bother us because there was load shedding anyway.
The Lourensford market down the road was very nice and the Nature Reserve is around the corner. Really a winner! The hospitality was great, very friendly hosts. I would definitely go again.
Liesl and Pieter are most accommodating and made us very welcome. We were very comfortable and certainly enjoyed the braai and swimming facilities.

The surroundings are wonderfully beautiful with mountains and vineyards. The accommodation is far from the Mall and beach area, but still offers silence and safety to switch off.
Stayed 2 separate nights and they didn't clean after the first night's stay, didn't empty the garbage, or replace the towels, or even made the bed when I returned there the second time.
Good service from owners. Willing to help. Very nice overnight stay.

Ideal overnight place on our way to Cape Town Airport.
The place is well located, safe and comfortable. But having only cold water in an almost 5 star overnight stay in the middle of winter is not good. I lived in Swellendam Backpackers from 13/07/16 to 16/07/16 and my experience is that it was better than at Cork Tree for the simple reason that there were the same facilities plus hot water.

I would recommend Cork Tree Cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. It was very safe, and we were never bothered or touched by the owners. Everything went smoothly. We slept well and comfortably, the kitchen was fully equipped, always had hot water, the place was clean and we had more than enough storage space for all our luggage and to live. It is very well located. Was really a very relaxing experience!
We had a very peaceful stay and could visit several beautiful places from there. Cork Tree is located in a very quiet street. The kitchen equipment is a bit limited (only a two-plate stove and a microwave oven) for people who may like to cook a lot and there is no TV.
Good quality bedding. Open and spacious room. We were received very hospitably.
Reception by the owners was friendly and made us feel at home immediately. Everything was neat and we had a great time relaxing.
They really went out of their way to make us feel at home.
