The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a gas 2-plate stove, a fridge, kettle, toaster, and all the necessary cutlery and crockery is provided. The living area also has a cosy fireplace for winter days and nights. The cottage has a braai area.
Activities on the farm include bird watching, walking, cycling, and catch-and-release bass fishing, and swimming in the dam. Various wild animals such as rooi duikers, otters, and more can also be seen on the farm.

The whole experience at Cornelia's Field was very pleasant and exactly what we needed. The kitchen amenities were somewhat lacking (eg no bread knife, oversized mug, dish soap, etc.), but everything else was worth more than a 5. Thank you very much Jacques and Rupert. We come again!
Road just bad with car. Hospitality and caring host was wonderful. Beautiful place. Will definitely recommend.
We loved the little cottage, it was so cozy. And it has its own little fenced-in garden, perfect for your furbabies to run around in. We, unfortunately, chose the worst dates to go as it was raining a lot. The host is also very nice and willing to help if anything is needed! Will be happy to stay there again!

Comfortable, relaxing and the cottage had everything that we needed. Dogs loved it.
Was a lovely break for the whole family. The fence for the dogs was such a big bonus and it's a big piece for them to run around in. Larger braai would be recommended. Think any South African likes a nice braai when you're on a break, especially. Then maybe also a bigger drum outside, so that if the drum inside gets full, you can transfer it into a bigger drum.
For anyone that wants to get away and need peace and quiet, this is the place to stay!
Excellent pet friendly accommodation. Very rustic, and freezing cold in the winter. Luckily took wood with me (otherwise you have to drive the hard way back to town to buy), very nice and effective fireplace. Warms up the whole place quickly, only bitterly cold at night when the fire is out. Might go again, but only in the summer! Jacques is a very caring host and ensured that we could find the place, because it's quite difficult and GPS doesn't work too well there. Thank you very much. Overall a nice stay, but missing a few little things like a washcloth, braai tongs and matches for the gas stove.
Rest on an apple farm area between the ponds and orchards. Located just outside the historic village of Twee Riviere, but all amenities are accessible by car, e.g. Joubertina and Kareedouw.
Initially struggled to find a place due to few signposts.
Such a lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Jacques made us feel completely at home. Could do with bedside tables and a lamp, as the only light switch is in the lounge, otherwise, we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
Upon arrival it seems as if you are somewhere near nowhere, but the owner greets you and guides you into this simplicity with style. The place is cozy and definitely a nice getaway.

We picked up apples. He is an amazing host and makes you feel at home. One idea, just imagine when there will be water and when not. The fireplace was amazing. The host was the best and Rubert was amazing.

This is an amazing getaway from the city life. The cottage is so tastefully decorated and the space is fantastic. The garden is also very beautifully designed and we are already making plans to stay longer. One night is not enough.
Cornelia's Field is picture-perfect. When you arrive, you are kindly received by Jacques, who immediately makes you feel so at ease and welcome that you almost feel as if you have arrived at your family farm. It is the perfect place where you find rest for your soul, calmness in your heart and silence for your spirit. Ruphert, head of security (it's now Jacques' four-legged child), thank you for looking after us safely. Everything you need is there. The place has been taken care of with good taste and small details. Jacques, thank you very much for a wonderful weekend, we look forward to our next visit.
The cottage is set against a beautiful backdrop of mountains and orchards, which immediately gave us a sense of calm and tranquillity. It has everything one needs for a comfortable stay and the fireplace inside was also a major plus for us when the evening grew cold. We would highly recommend this little gem of a place to 'clear your head', take in the stunning sunsets and just enjoy nature. Jacques, you were the perfect host. My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Cornelia's Field Guest Cottage! We were warmly received with two glasses of sherry. Jacques is a great host who immediately made us feel comfortable and made sure we enjoyed the visit. The cottage is nice and cozy and ideally equipped! The fireplace is fantastic and is always a draw for me. The silence is deafening and is perfect for a break from the city! If we were looking for something, it was there. We will definitely come again, because the natural beauty, hospitality and tranquility are wonderful!

A pet friendly, rejuvenating, simple but comfortable off-the-grid experience, beautifully remote, with our competent and friendly host right next door so we felt safe while enjoying the remote location.
We wanted to get away from the noise that city life consumes you with. The biggest problem was that our four-legged child, Peanut (a Yorkie) had to come along. Jacques went out of his way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Peanut had never been the same again, because he was safe and could not escape anywhere. He explored from early morning to late afternoon and he was safe. The cottage with its fireplace kept us warm and created the most beautiful atmosphere. For us it was a getaway and just what we needed.
On arrival we were kindly welcomed and shown how everything works. The cottage is between beautiful mountains and makes you feel like you are completely away from the world. The fact that it is animal friendly makes it that much more enjoyable! We enjoyed it very much.
