There was load shedding, but rooms all had solar lights which made it comfortable. There is a pump that kicked in all night which is right by the room's window, which disturbed one's rest a bit. Would recommend that it be on a timer so as not to kick in all night.

We had a great stay, parking is safe but a bit difficult to move in and out of, might just suggest moving apartment 2's chairs and benches. We would definitely suggest getting a bigger geyser or maybe one for each apartment, hot water for showers is a problem for sure, and with the town's power problems, guests can't shower at all when the power is out, which is a was a very big problem. Despite this, we had a very nice stay and will definitely consider Cottage@49 again.

Cottage @49 is even better than the pictures! We were pleasantly surprised with the nice decor and cleanliness. Charmaine's communication was excellent, and she made sure everything was ok. Our two small dogs also came along and there was a safe area for them to run around outside. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Paris!

The place was neat and clean. And Charmaine went the extra mile! My girlfriend and I had a sleepover one night. We were there with two vehicles and Charmaine went out of her way to keep both of our vehicles safe. We had a great time in the unit and will definitely stay there again.

Charmaine's cottage was the very best animal friendly accommodation I have stayed at in the last 3 years. Usually you feel at least tense that your dogs children might come out or maybe do something inappropriate, but this time I was able to really relax. The cute toddler gate on the porch, in addition to proper fencing around the little garden, testifies to the fact that Charmaine understands the fears of K9 children's parents! Just a pity I couldn't catch cute Nico (the dog "boss" who lives at Cottage @49) and take it with me! Thank you so much, Charmaine ─ wonderful and safe overnight stay and will definitely stay with you again when I pass this way! regards
Very neat and clean. Good communication from the owner, and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Keys are easily available, ice and clean drinking water in fridge. Quiet environment. Wood is available if you want to grill. No what, no complaints, best guest house in many years.

The place is beautiful. It's comfortably furnished and has everything you need. There is also plenty of privacy. Delicious clean borehole water. Service is friendly and fast. If I can make one recommendation, rethink the shower heads. Ordinary shower heads for the beautiful shower would be better.

The stay and visit at Cottage @ 49 was refreshing and comfortable. Charmaine is hospitable, friendly and very considerate. The cottage is private, very neat and clean. There was ice in the freezer and clean drinking water. Because of the frequent power outages are catered for with a gas stove and boiler, but there are also electrical appliances for when the power is on. We will definitely visit Cottage @ 49 again.
