Very peaceful and private, the perfect place to relax. Exactly as the photos listed. There is about a 7 km gravel road to the cottage, accessible by car; it's like your private home in a game reserve setting. The host also sent self check-in details and pin location on the morning of arrival.

It really is a must especially for those who enjoy the outdoors far away from city life in the heart of the forest. The photo does not show how beautiful it really is there and looks. It is much more beautiful in person and the owner Oom David was and is the most sincere person I have ever met, he was so hospitable to us and always ready if we needed anything. Our 2 weeks there were just amazing.

We were in Phalaborwa for a week doing training. What a pleasure to return to a little house in the woods every afternoon. The 6 km dirt road was a bit of a challenge as we had to tackle it twice a day, but everything else made up for it! The forest silence was interrupted only now and then by the bleating of a goat or the bellowing of a cow. The braai area with splash pool was a highlight - we barbequed every night! The fact that there was only Netflix and YouTube available didn't bother us at all because we could sit outside and stargaze until late. David was the perfect host and looked after all our needs - even had the road scraped! The cottage itself is very well equipped and spacious with a lovely bathroom. The extra toilet is a plus for when more than 2 people would stay there. We will definitely stay there again.

Very nice stay. All amenities worked well. Good WiFi for work and Netflix. There are 4 beds but 2 are in the lounge/dining room so would suit kids best. Situated a bit out of town so nice and quiet/peaceful. Good value for money.

We had a very nice stay. Will definitely return in the summer so we can use the lovely pool and braai facilities. The house is very neat, clean and well equipped. We lacked nothing. It was a treat to take a nice hot shower and get into a soft clean bed after a day in the wildlife park.

Apart from the WiFi not working the first two days, it was a very nice break. The ±10km dirt road is just a bit bad for small cars, so I advise future travelers to go with a four-wheel drive or a pick-up truck. The Cottage is out of town and secluded in the woods, so it's wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

The accommodation is very well equipped, very neat and clean. The gas stove makes it convenient to prepare meals at any time. The beds are extremely comfortable with neat linens. We were pleasantly surprised that unit was serviced daily and towels changed. Necessary information about directions, keys and WiFi was communicated in advance. Thank you very much for a very pleasant stay — we will definitely stay there again when we come to Phalaborwa.

Good value for money, beautiful and modern, everything you need in a self catering unit, lighting provision made for when there is load shedding, dirt road a bit rough for a normal vehicle, I recommend a bakkie or similar vehicle.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable overnight cottage just outside Kruger National Park. Bright clean swimming pool with large outdoor barbecue (because unfortunately we couldn't use it due to late summer rain). Will definitely be a treat in the heat of summer. Cottage itself is large, spacious and 100% equipped for self-catering accommodation. On our visit, in the rain, the only slightly negative was the +- 10 km dirt road which was quite badly washed out with holes and corrugated iron, but this is understandable and not the fault of the owners. People just have to be aware of the dirt road. We are from Cape Town and if we use the Phaloborwa gate again we will definitely use Cottage Lenise again!

The WiFi was absolutely a treat for the teenagers. After our previous visit, David made a point of paying attention to the access dirt road and the road is now being maintained. The cottage is so well looked after, clean and tidy. Our host and the workers were really excellent. A beautiful swimming pool, delicious braai facilities and an ice-cold fridge and air-conditioned cottage awaited us. Lafenis after the long day's drive. Definitely value for money, with even Netflix quite a bit. We can honestly recommend it for families too.

A hidden gem just outside Phalaborwa. Great to stay before entering Kruger National Park. All facilities were spotless and tidy. The only slightly negative comment is the 6 km dirt road you have to drive to get to Cottage Lenise - road driven and corrugated iron. At least saw an attempt being made to clear the road.

Cottage Lenise is neat and clean and tastefully furnished for self-catering. We were warmly received by David after a long day on the road through KNP. The corrugated iron road broke us a bit, but the accommodation made up for it. I will stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Cottage Lenise was well-equipped in all aspects - kitchen, bedroom, bathroom (even a washing machine). It's simple open plan spacious living area and bedroom were comfortable and children friendly (more than enough room to set up a camping cot and by moving the coffee table aside more than enough space for a crawling toddler).

Best place we have ever booked on the website. Cottage Lenisè is a clean, tidy little place in the woodland. The owner, David, made us feel so welcome. The children really enjoyed the pool. The place has everything you need. Milk, sugar, coffee, Milo, hot chocolate, herbs. Even the marshmellows were topped up every day. The place is cleaned every day. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The children of course enjoyed the free WiFi. There are so many more that I could name. I will go back again for sure. I travel a lot and even though you have to drive on a long gravel road, the small gem of a place was such a surprise. David is so hospitable and because we arrived late the fire was already burning. Wonderful experience. Situated on a beautiful 23ha farm just over 10km outside Phalaborwa, in the bush. We got there late in the evening and everything was perfectly ready for us. From the key and remote for gates which were in a small safe at the main gate with code sent to me, to the place which was beautifully lit with outdoor lights and paraffin lamps. The air conditioners were already set to the perfect temperature. The unit is absolutely stunning and everything was perfect. 5 Star place and service with milk and water bottles in fridge, to everything you could need for the kitchen. As well as coffee, tea, sugar, spices and even marshmallows that children could roast on fire! Wonderful braai place with enough hard coal wood and blitz. Fire was lit when we got there, and barbecue was cleaned every morning. The small splash pool under construction will be a winner in the summer! Kleinding really enjoyed the Netflix and WiFi and wife was very happy that she could go jogging on the farm paths every morning and afternoon accompanied by the resident Foxterrier. Unit is cleaned carefully every morning and the ladies were very impressed to find a Sweety Pie on their made bed every morning and a clean towel when we got back to the unit. And the service didn't just stop there, when I suddenly felt very bad on Wednesday night, the owner (who often came to check if everything was OK) thought nothing of rushing out to the farm and came to get me and to the Emergency Medical Clinic in town, where a very good doctor attended to me immediately. Place is absolute value for money and I will definitely stay there again if I come to Phalaborwa again. Can recommend it wholeheartedly and will definitely be introducing it to everyone I know. And now my hat itself, which I forgot there, is being mailed to me.
