Country cottages really went out of their way to ensure that our staying experience was good, even through the town's water problems and loadshedding they went the extra mile and offered alternative solutions. Thank you for the very good experience.

Very cute accommodation, tasteful decor and everything you need for a few nights' stay. Private with braai on the stoep. Everything is within walking distance. There was milk and water in the fridge for us, and also soft drinks, beer and wine for which you can pay in cash. Friendly welcome! Would definitely recommend for a getaway weekend.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and safety of van place. Even the people's kindness and trust in you was something to know you were going to enjoy your stay. Visiting places was just walking distance. Would recommend our San Koi guide, Henry, to the Gamoro post. Really made it informative and interesting for us. And we also now know more about the fossils. Thank you for a really relaxing stay with you.

I got my parents Christmas accommodation as a present in New Bethesda. With Covid we had to move out all the time and Heinrich was so accommodating. My dad passed away 5 weeks ago and then took mum to Nieu-Bethesda on the way back to JHB. We spent a wonderful few days there. Lovely little place with everything you could need. Ulrich and Martha were lovely and made sure everything was in order for us.

I will definitely be going back there in the future. The unit is very well equipped with all essentials. Warm bedding too with extra blankets for those sub zero nights. The units are very centrally situated and are walking distance from everything. The gate is locked at all times so vehicles and trailers are safe too.
Together with the atmosphere of New Bethesda, our accommodation was a wonderful experience. Location in the town center so you can walk everywhere. There is everything one needs to stay comfortably. Was very grateful for the mini-bar at our disposal.
People were all friendly and hospitable. History of Nieu-Betesda, restaurants' contact numbers, etc. was all contained in a book in our cottage which was of great value. We could really walk everywhere we wanted to be, the lack of street lights was an experience for children. There is a lot to see and we will stay there longer next time! We slept so well that the next morning we hit the road much later than planned. Really recommend, place where you can really switch off.

We decided at the last minute to sleep over in New Bethesda and thought it would be difficult to get a place for a Saturday night, but they accommodated us right away. The unit was neat and clean with all the necessary facilities. Sat on the porch till late in the evening drinking wine and enjoying the tranquility of the village.

Very basic accommodation, but clean and the hot water shower is awesome! The best part is its proximity to the Owl House, Kitching's Fossil Centre and the Arts Centre! Everything is within walking distance! We loved our stay here and we will definitely use it again.

This newly built unit is well equipped (with DStv too) and so spacious. It is centrally located. What was very convenient, was the items that were available on an honesty basis, as well as the milk in the fridge. So one had something to drink on arrival. I had a good stay and would definitely stay there again.

An electric blanket would have been nice - quite cold at night!
The cottages have potential, but the owner will need to give some attention to the bedding and heating during winter. The chalet is clean and neat, but the quality of the linen, as well as the mattresses of especially the single beds, are not up to standard. It was icy cold and there were summer linen and no electric blankets on the beds. The hostess went out of her way to make more blankets available to us for which we were very grateful. We were really cold. You can't leave the heater on when you leave the building because of safety reasons, and that is why the room was so cold.

From booking to reception and service was of outstanding quality.
The place is clean, tidy and well furnished. Place to put your stuff and hang towels is always important to me because so many places don't have it, but here there was more than enough. Ulrich was very friendly and spoiled the children with a treat and gave us good advice about the places in town.
Our accommodation was absolutely neat, clean and excellent care to comfort guaranteed. Both units are 100% equipped.
