What a great experience! Jonathan made us feel so welcome and at home. He is the best host yet!
We came back for a return visit and loved Courchevel Cottages, even more, the second time. Jonathan was an absolute superstar, and our daughters had a wonderful time with the horses under his careful and friendly supervision. The cottages were clean and comfortable, as always, and the location is just perfect.
My friends and I all loved our stay there. It is beautiful, the cottages are stunning (better than the photos), and the pool area is great. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

For a moment there, we thought we were in Switzerland. The mountain views were gorgeous and the setting was superb. The location is perfect: it's blissfully peaceful and quiet, yet we had the very busy Bastille Day weekend festivities just down the road. If you're looking for a spot that's in Franschhoek without being in Franschhoek, you've found it!
Courchevel's location is ideal, close to the town center but away from the noise. The cottage needs trimming and attention - water vapour, paint coming off, cloths that need washing.
The accommodation offers a beautiful view of the valley and mountains and was really particularly beautiful. The unit is cutely decorated. However, we were disappointed as there is a huge fly problem and although there is poison available, it is not ideal with cutlery and crockery that are not stored in closed cupboards or drawers. The unit is not extremely clean and a very unpleasant smell hung in the kitchen for the duration of our visit which we think made the flies worse. There is also a shortage of crockery and cutlery, uniformity of the above is also always more pleasant than it looks like turnip and scratch cutlery. Towels were not available on the first night of our stay, it is especially inconvenient when the owners do not respond to messages and then only deliver the towels hours later. Another suggestion I can make is that ceiling fans can be installed in the rooms. When the wind blows so hard it is difficult to leave windows open and with the fly problem it was a bit warm in the unit. One understands that with Covid minimum contact is a requirement, but the owner/manager could have just come to ask if everything was in order. We had no welcome or saw anyone once during our 2 night stay.
The houses are beautifully furnished, my wife and I were crazy about it. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The view is out of the books and we had a nice stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed and slept very well. Pillows a little hard and shower could be a little cleaner. Beautiful view over Franschhoek if you want to be out of town a bit.
The place is not very tidy. Rooms are not very private as the walls are open at the top. There was coffee, tea and a little milk, but no sugar. Also no soap in the one bathroom. For the amount paid, it really isn't enough. Not up to the standard of accommodation we are used to.
Courchevel is picturesque - from the view over Franschhoek to the horses and dogs! Beautiful chalet. Will definitely go there again - only longer! The children really enjoyed the freedom of the farm.

It was a surprise for our daughter from Australia. Just like us, she couldn't stop talking about Courchevel, the hospitable reception, cleanliness and fantastic setting among the beautiful vineyards surrounded by mountains. Definitely one of the best places to stay in Franschhoek, within convenient driving distance to everything in and around Cape Town. Courchevel is highly recommended by our family.

Away from the noise of other people and traffic. You are surrounded by mountains, magnificent sunsets and clouds rolling down the mountain. The accommodation feels like you are part of a theater production, the finest detail has been thought of. Even an armchair in front of a bath with a panoramic view of the mountains. Looking out the window and seeing horses grazing peacefully is awesome. This is going to be part of bringing our guests especially from overseas to relieve the everyday accommodation that travelers are used to. This is what they will remember from their trip. The natural scenery and view is breathtaking. There's so much space in which to run around and breathe in the greatness of the creation. The horses are lovely and friendly. The units are neat, as long as you remember to bring along some basic necessities such as salt, pepper, coffee and sugar. There are only cutlery and crockery. We had a lovely stay at Courchevel and are really looking forward to our next visit.
