We have built such wonderful relationships with the Crawfords family over the years, including the staff who we know by first name. The coast is really spectacular and the food fantastic.
The lodge is in one of the most beautiful locations in SA. The food is great. We had booked two rooms, one with sea view and the other with partial sea view. The front sea view rooms are beautiful and have been refurbished. The partial sea view room was dated and not the nicest I’ve seen. But we slept well and had a good time. I also liked the kids’ centre and activities.
I enjoyed every bit of my stay.
Our first visit and most enjoyable. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The room was very beautiful and comfortable, the food was delicious, everyone was friendly and you feel at home.
We were disappointed. Such a beautiful place with such a great location. But the air-conditioning doesn't work, the bath isn't draining, the WiFi isn't working and the buffet food is cold, it's not worth the money.
Crawford's service was excellent. Their food was delicious and the service was professional. The room is neat, clean and the view amazing. Crawford's was definitely worth every cent and the best accommodation for a romantic getaway. We are definitely looking forward to return to Crawford's.
Even the units that are behind and see themselves as no view have a view. It's an incredible place and the meals are breathtaking!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to others. The dinner one night was disappointing, tough vegetables and meat, but no complaints otherwise.

Just 45km from East London Airport in the most incredible area; the most beautiful natural scenes wherever you look. Softest white sand on the stands; green hills and the area is clean and still underdeveloped. The service at the lodge was great; very friendly staff and the food was top notch. Every night different dishes from the buffet table and something for everyone. Nice swimming every day in the pools and the lagoon; lovely walk on the beaches and just relaxing. Just one downside; many stairs to the rooms and very stylish entrance to the car parking. Feel free to drive 9 km to Arena and go see the tame giraffe if you like animals.
We were a bit dissapointed at the size of our room for the money we paid. There were only 3 beds, and our 3 year old had to sleep on a small make up bed, and he called it stinky. But the service was amazing, so was the food and if you have young kids they have a kids activity area that is open from 9am to 10pm, so great for parents who need time out!!! My kids LOVED it.
Wonderful customer service, and good value for money.
