Once a year our little family gets together for a get together and this year we chose Paternoster and stayed at Craylord. The house was perfect, we had a lovely barbecue inside on Saturday night when the weather turned up with rain and wind. The house was nice and spacious, with enough rooms. It was perfect.
House was comfortable and tidy.
For the price you pay, you at least expect that there are cloths, cleaning products and toilet paper etc. is in the house. The owner is inhospitable and in all honesty I would not advise anyone to rent his house. We also couldn't find 'flip file' in which the WiFi code should be. The one stove plate wanted to work and the gas plate's gas was also out. Outdoor tables were also full of dust and dirt between the legs.
Our stay was secure and spacious.
Although we had a joyous stay, the establishment need to be renovated desperately as we experienced a whole lot of structural issues. 1) lack of cleanliness - outside lawn full of dog poo and showers need a deep-clean. 2) lots of water lying on the top deck - needs to be drained as water flows in garage. 3) pipe leaks as soon as top shower is used, dripping downstairs when entering the passage to go to the rooms. had problem with dishwasher but got sorted as clip was stuck and door couldn't close. 4) the white stairs needs jik or handy andy or a re-paint as dirt got stuck on white stairs. 5) air conditioner wakes the whole neighbourhood but otherwise good. 6) was my 2nd time at Craylord but noticed the lack of cleanliness. Brooms etc needs update.
I would recommend this guest house to anyone.
What a disappointment. Should not be rented out to vacationers at all, especially not at the price. Place needs so much attention, everything old and neglected. Luckily we were able to move to another location after 3 nights. Grass not cut, kitchen in poor condition especially stove with only one plate working. Poor braai facilities. No cloth or detergent in the kitchen. Broken patio furniture. Too many to mention.
Craylord is a beautiful family home, within walking distance from the beach. The house is fully equipped and neat. Just wish there was a gate in the front do that the little ones don't run out.
House is adequate. Definitely needs maintenance. My husband almost broke his back sitting on one of the dining room chairs and it instantly collapsed. Dustbins we're not emptied before we arrived and the smell was unbearable. We reported it but was not seen too. Definitely lacks attention to detail. We have been going to Paternoster for the last 20 years and highly unlikely we would book this house again.

House was big enough for the group of 8. We enjoyed the outside entertainment area.

The reception and service was friendly and good. The facilities neat and the location excellent.
Everything was perfect. However, the stove needs some attention. The oven does not work at all and plates are slow. A new stove may be needed. Furthermore an excellent place to stay.
Comfortable house for a large family with enough bath and toilet facilities. Kitchen well equipped. Parking is sufficient. Indoor and outdoor braai areas are convenient. Walking distance from sea and beach.
Lovely stay at Craylord. Location is perfect and walking distance from beach, restaurant. Has all the amenities available in the house, plenty of fridge and freezer and even ice machine. Had a fabulous time there.
We were 7 people who stayed in the house for 3 nights. Really nice stay and visit. Will visit again.

Would definitely visit again. Interesting place. We could relax while the kids played out till late. I would recommend Craylord to any person, neat, clean and very organised, felt safe.
Really enjoyed ourselves and would book again. Will definitely holiday there again in 2017. Close to the sea, places to eat and safe. Children could hang out upstairs and adults downstairs. Television downstairs would be nice especially for the elderly.

House rules
No check-ins or check-outs are offered on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.The balance of the booking is to be paid 3 days before arrival.
This unit may only accommodate the number of guests as specified on the booking invoice at any given time.
No loud music after 22:00.
No parties on the property, management reserves the right to evict tenants that do not adhere to this rule.
Kindly note that we do not have the authorization to do credit card payments on behalf of guests, we only accept EFT/Bank transfers.
A R650.00 key- and breakage deposit is payable on arrival. It is refundable within 7 to 14 working days after the house has been inspected and all found in order. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances without full payment received.
DStv can be activated at the cost of R25.00 per day.
There is a pet fee of R250 for up to 2 dogs per house. No more than 2 dogs at a time.
