Oh yes, we had a very nice stay. From the moment I walk in and hear the waves roll, I see that there is also a sea view. In the evening I made a nice fire to sit by, although in December I will fry a chop. I could also lie on my back in the dark and view a multitude of stars and try to identify the most famous ones. Next time I'll take a star chart and also some good binoculars for all the beautiful birds.

The unit was very neat and clean and had all the minimum needs for a comfortable stay. Beautiful garden setting, all required kitchen supplies and parking outside your door. A lot of artsy finishings, classic furniture, lovely hand soap, hand cream and room fragrance. A welcome chocolate is always a nice treat. One hand towel and 1 towel provided for a 3-night stay. A few practical things for future travelers to know. 1. This is not a free-standing apartment, it's a groundfloor, 2-bedroom flatlet below the owner's house. No indication of that in the listing or photos. 2. Bring the following items along as it's not supplied: coffee, tea, sugar, milk, shower gel and a two-point plug to charge mobile devices. 3. I've never lived in an apartment so it was a bit unexpected/annoying hearing footsteps above you at night, kids occasionally running around in the main house, etc. 4. There is a dog in the main house, but it doesn't come out towards the unit. There's a little balcony above the entrance of the unit, so periodically you'll hear the dog running out on there and occasionally barking if something is spotted. 5. Not a self check-in, you must check in and out with the owner. These are just some important notes for people who might think it's a secluded, freestanding unit with no one else around and expecting absolute peace and quiet. The owner did inform me upon check-in, that their son with his family is visiting for the weekend (with 2 young kids). Other than that, the stay was good and the place was nice to chill at.

We and our adult daughter found the accommodation very spacious, very tidy and also very private. There was everything we could possibly need, from pure white towels to kitchen utensils, WiFi and full package DStv including the sports channels for the sports lover. The apartment is on the sea side of the house with a private garden, a covered braai on the veranda, and sufficient secure parking on the plot. We could constantly hear the roar of the waves, we slept wonderfully on the good quality mattresses, and our host and wife received us very kindly and showed us around, so that we immediately felt at home and like family. Security is very good with a security gate and burglar alarm, and we felt very safe at all times. The neighborhood and the whole town has an incredible holiday atmosphere with residents and vacationers who can walk down the streets peacefully with their small children and dogs because there are plenty of speed bumps and ditches to catch any speeding devils. We had a great time and really enjoyed Jazzie, the resident Yorkie's antics. Thank you very much, Ina, we would love to come again!
