34 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay. The inverter system only kicked in one night, so wasn't quite sure what was going on, but we slept and stayed very well. The fireplace was a winner with the bad weather at the weekend (rain and wind of 60 km/h). The place literally just needs an indoor barbecue for weather like this, because we couldn't have a good barbecue then, but apart from that it has everything you need. More showers in the lower part of the house will also help. Think there are 3 x baths and 1 x shower.
Everything was just awesome. Will definitely come back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crimson Views. The house is just spectacular. The owner of the house is also very easy to communicate with and super accommodating as we asked to have day visitors, and he allowed it. The views from the house are also just phenomenal. The beds were also so comfortable, although one of the beds in the bottom room needs to be replaced. The pool table also needs to be replaced. There were a few cockroaches, so maybe regular fumigation could keep them away, but overall the place is very clean and well taken care of.
Great venue, great finishes, great location, great views. Very comfortable stay and would come back again.
Our stay was enjoyable and the house was spacious enough for our group of 14 with kids ranging from age 4 to 16. I would however recommend a TV downstairs in the games room to keep kiddies entertained as one TV for a large group is not ideal (especially if there are matches to watch and kids want to game or watch a movie). An indoor braai or built-in covered braai would also be great when it's raining and windy. Other than that, the house was perfect and the kitchen was well-equipped.
Perfect location with a breathtaking view. It was comfortable and good value for money. The service received was of top standard and friendly. I received a prompt response from the manager regarding issues such as power outages and shortages.
Gorgeous area. The house had everything we needed. The games room was amazing. Really spacious, perfect for big groups.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crimson Views with our group of friends with young children. It is genuinely a rare find considering the value for money. We really loved the large open plan kitchen/lounge dining area which could comfortably accommodate the ten adults and 8 children. The spacious rooms and many bathrooms/toilets added to the experience. The house was clean and neat. The beach is a short walk from the house. The kids spent most of the time in the pool, which was heated up by the solar system installed. The fact that the house has an inverter installed ensured that load shedding was not a concern. Grateful that the hosts could accommodate our special requests. We will definitely return again.
It was very enjoyable, the place is nice and big and has lots of entertainment. There are a few things that need replacing and some maintenance in the house, but other than that it was very nice.
It is a good option for large groups. They need to update things a little to make it more comfortable. If you are a big group, definitely take your own toilet paper. It is a good spot but a little run down. Solar did not work or help with load shedding at all. Very convenient and secure. Great space for games and socialising with a big group for a weekend away.
What a horrible experience! Extremely poor reception and service from the caretaker. The house is dilapidated and lacks basic appliances in the kitchen and porch. There were no napkins or tablecloths. The cleaner only left the house after 5 hours.
The adults had the rooms upstairs and the teenagers downstairs in the playroom. It has a beautiful view and is warm and peaceful.
A few things we found which was a problem that we were not told about. Pool Kew was broken, pool table not levelled, bedroom door handles broken, bedroom cupboard door is loose and broken. Couldn't watch Netflix as the account wasn't paid. I had paid a lot of money for the 2 nights stay yet so many things were not as expected and advertised such as 2 braai areas and there's only 1. The house is a beautiful house and it's an ideal location. I would definitely suggest that fixing the house should be done before guests arrive. We pay thousands of rands to stay and do not get the proper quality that is expected. Also, the pool should definitely be made bigger.
I did mention to Angela that the pool was not clean and uncovered so the water was not very clean. The couch can be updated it is old and uncomfortable to sit in. Wi-Fi was an issue (might be the effects of load shedding) we ended up using our own data and dongle. And also the TV gave us error messages. Also when someone is requesting a proforma invoice please include the deposit on there as you included the cleaning fees it makes it easier when it's a group or company booking.
Our stay would have been excellent if not for the rain on the second day of our 3-day weekend.
The house is big and everyone was able to hang out over the weekend despite the gale-force wind. Too bad there is nowhere to braai when the wind blows. Love the solar system and gas stove.
The house was exactly as we saw in the pictures.
It definitely not the best accommodation available, I would probably rate it around 2. 5 to3 stars. The only reason we took this accommodation was that is could sleep the whole family for that specific weekend when everyone was available. If we had the option of 2 houses next to each other it would have been a better option. The maid came at around 3am and tripped the alarm, we were notified the day before that she would be coming to iron the following day. But 3am and tripping the alarm was not great.
It was a wonderful place to stay.
If I can only make one suggestion, I would say that there should be either an indoor braai or find a way to close the upper porch with weather blinds or something, just so that you can enjoy the outside when the wind blows very badly or if it is cold, as was the case with us the first night. Furthermore, I think the house could do with repairs and maintenance or upgrades here and there. For example, the games room downstairs is at least in a very poor condition, so that you can hardly use it.
As lovely as the house is there are absolutely way too many rules, you are ridiculously scared of making any mistakes. There were too many ants and was a cockroach infestation in the kitchen. I would not recommend coming here as young people (as in teens-30's). There's too much pressure to not break anything. There was also no salt, pepper or scissors within the house at all, we had to buy our own when we got there. However, with that being said the manager Angel is absolutely lovely and was reachable at all times.
It was a 1st time for most of the group and they were excited. For me as an organized traveler it was a bitterly inhospitable, cold experience. No welcome from the owners/agent, or reception on arrival, and farewell on departure. It was very inhospitable, and everything in the house was not up to standard. In the kitchen was a garbage can with a horrible smell and downstairs was a room and bathroom with a musty smell. I had to take pictures of what I found wrong, and send them on, but had to pay a breakage fee of R2000, as well as a R1000 cleaning fee (for whom and what I don't know, because I cleaned myself). You send messages to management, but they are responded to days later. The house is dangerous in the sense that it is a double-storey house with stairs, and there is no lighting during loadshedding, and it's pitch black, you can injure yourself badly. No advance warning of that is stated, and I feel that for R15 000 one should at least get value for one's money. No, I'm quite disappointed! I am now waiting for the rest of my R2000 damage to be paid back, and hope it will happen before Christmas.
It's a very nice place to relax and to enjoy with a large group of people and I got excellent service from Angel the manager, she was very kind and helpful, stunning venue. Thanks to Ryan, the place is awesome.
We had the best time at Crimson Views. What a fabulous and clean accommodation with the best facilities for our big group.
Enough space for 18 people with social distancing.
Incredible rooms, with great views. It was a great time for all young and old. It an all-around amazing house, that has everything you need so you don't need to leave for the weekend.
Will definitely return.
The views were great, it was a peaceful neighbourhood. Overall lovely place.
Beautiful front view, large bedrooms as well as bathrooms I will definitely visit Crimson view again.
We found the place well equipped and in the perfect spot, close to the beach and shops. The house had plenty of space to accommodate all 15 of us including kids and teenagers, the games room was awesome. Beautiful surroundings and would definitely go there again.
It's a very safe environment for parents with small children. Kitchen well equipped. Everything you might need to prepare a meal. We will definitely come back.
Naweek was fantasties.
