It is a beautiful place and we felt so spoiled.
Nestled on the shores of pristine coastline, Crystal Lagoon Lodge was nothing short of magical. We were captivated by the endless expanse of sea stretching as far as the eye can see. The accommodation was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was delectable, offering both continental and English. Service was personalised, and the staff was great.
Very nice stay, neat and comfortable. Beautiful garden! Beautiful location! Food is delicious and fresh. People incredibly helpful and friendly. Just would have liked a little more equipped kitchenette, especially if people are staying for a reasonable period of time, and not just overnight. Been here before, and will definitely stay here again.

If we have to look over the kitchen staff for breakfast which was not at all up to standard, everything else was 100% excellent. Unfortunately, breakfast area was not ready at all on time because they were late for service. Regardless, we will stay with you again. More TV channels should be opened and what about solar installation for the future? One pays for comfort after all.

We ended a three-week road trip with a few days at the Crystal Lagoon Lodge. Beautiful sea views, private beach, and restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely come again for a longer stay. Love the fact that I could hear the sea 24/7. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi is available even though it is loadshedding - a big plus.
Can recommend the Lodge with confidence. Neat with excellent breakfast. The service was top notch. Room well equipped. We had a sea view that was unbeatable.
The sea wakes you up at night - what a privilege to be woken up like that. The only negative is the fact that the stairs can be quite difficult for old people and people who struggle with their knees.

The staff and service are amazing. The rooms are spacious and luxurious with only the finest linen. It was a wonderful experience. Our breakfast is served inside or outside with the sea about 100 meters away. The breakfast table was set with the most beautiful clean cutlery. Definitely 5 star.

They unit's emergency light bulbs did not work during load shedding so we needed to call for an emergency light as we were in the dark for a few hours due to a cable fault. But they were attentive. When the staff realised I needed a fridge for my medication they made a plan with ice and a cooler box which was really kind of them. The unit was water-facing and the sunsets were unbelievable. Staff were very friendly. Be aware there are no lifts, so luggage needs to be carried up the stairs. But it was worth it for the view. Bed was super comfy!
We brought international guests for a stay over at your lodge. I felt a little let-down. You have the most beautiful view, a lovely bar area and porch and yet no drinks for sale at the bar to enjoy while appreciating the sunset. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated rooms and sea views. I was embarassed that my international guests had to pay R25 for a cappucino made from a sachet at breakfast. So even though breakfast was included we decided not to have breakfast.

Crystal Lagoon Lodge is 'n gem!
We stayed here on our honeymoon - they went to great lengths to make it special for us. Room was decorated with rose petals and champagne.
Stay was peaceful. View breathtaking. Good service and comfortably furnished.
Perfect location on Calypso Beach in Langebaan. Walking distance up the beach to restaurants at Club Mykonos. Rooms are a bit short of sitting space. Need to be aware that you may have to climb several flights of stairs on a winding narrow staircase.
Would come and stay again as we really were impressed with the room and location and views. Service on Sunday at breakfast was a little absent and slow. But the staff were all friendly. There was a lovely lady on Friday when we arrived and served our breakfast the Saturday morning, pity I didn't get her name, but she was a star.
Price of room alone is quite high, breakfast price out of reach.
We had a problem with a bathroom door. They didn't fix it and some clothes were stuck inside. They said they were going to send it for us and they never did. No additional lights for loadshedding. No utensils in kitchen to make own food. Fittings that is loose both in kitchen and bathroom. Had to park across the road.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. From arrival to departure we were treated with so much respect and humanity. The morning's breakfast was top notch. Definitely one for the books. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic sea view right down to the beach. The many stairs and no elevator we had to walk back several times to carry other luggage up or down to the car. The sea view down to the beach was all worth it.
The staff was friendly. They asked in advance what time we were going to arrive. The room looked exactly as pictured and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The room has an amazing view of the sea and is walking distance from Club Mykonos and Marc's Beach Bar. The breakfast was good, because they only have a 2-slice toaster, it takes a long time to make toast and people stand in long lines. The bread doesn't toast properly either.
Guests were also very friendly, staff were very helpful with what I had planned for my wife. Will definitely visit again and the food was delicious. Thank you very much for a nice visit! Sea view is breathtaking and the sounds of the waves soothing.

The service was great and the room clean. Towels were somewhat old and used, but clean. Felt they could have put more effort into our honeymoon. Stairs up to room were difficult, so be aware if you have difficulty climbing stairs, but the view over the sea and beach is amazing and worth it. Anders gets a room lower and I believe it's just as wonderful. It is located close to the eateries and other villages around Langebaan. Breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious and staff were helpful when we had to drive early to pack our breakfast to go. Enjoyed our visit!

It was just an average stay. The room had been quite warm. The Wifi did not work. It was reported but still didn't work.

We were just pushed into another complex without our being known. We were told we were being upgraded but it was actually a downgrade.
I can stay there for ever. Beautiful views walking distance to Mykonos and beach restaurants and a super breakfast at the lodge. I have told all my Capetonian friends and some of them went there last weekend and enjoyed everything.

Very quiet area. I will definitely stay there again. While you shower you can look out to sea. There are restaurants with good food just a 10-minute walk from the beach.

The view from the room was amazing. Easy access to the beach and it is located in an access controlled area so I felt very safe as one of 2 woman staying there.
Location is nice and owner is very friendly. We were at Crystal Lagoon Lodge over Christmas on our day of arrival there was no soap in the rooms not even 2 cups for coffee. Day 2 there were no fresh towels put in the rooms or beds made. The staff is semi-sad, very friendly but not efficient at all. For what we paid, we would rather look for other accommodation next time.

At both breakfasts there were no breakfast items available and had to be asked before it was served, eg. fruit / yoghurt, spoons, bread etc. Friendly service but couldn't see a supervisor. Customers should not ask, there should be proactive action.
The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the beach and the sound of the sea. The service was good and porter helped carry all the many bags up the stairs. The lodge was a sight to behold. However, we would prefer a unit where the kitchen facilities were a bit more. Maybe a microwave and bigger counter. The duvet has seen better days and can be replaced. Furthermore, everything was neat and comfortable.
Reception staff not on post. When checking out, key had to be left with kitchen staff. Rules missing - noise all night. Breakfast is good. Records not up to date - on arrival we were told that outstanding amount must be paid, while we had to show written proof of payment in full to get key.

The room was large and our views were really special. A spacious open bathroom with a big bath and walk-in shower. We have stayed before in another room which was cramped, with a small, damp bathroom, so it is clearly important to get a good room. Note that the stairs are steep, without handrail in sections and there is no lift. We weren't offered someone to carry our suitcases up. So I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who would struggle with that.
Just the right location. Warm welcoming. Just one concern was that the door of the room has to be opened to let in fresh air. If you're at the ocean you want to be able to smell the ocean breeze.

For quality of accommodation and rooms one would appreciate good decent feather pillows, pillows were not quality at all. Breakfast was cold and not tasty at all. Would suggest making hot breakfast to order and serving only fruit, yogurt and breakfast porridge as a buffet. Otherwise it was very nice, clean and service was friendly.

We only had one problem: the suction fan in the bathroom was not working and the lady at reception informed us that nothing could be done about it at that time. So I just want to bring this to your attention in case she neglects to report it. Also sorry they advertise secure parking but we were told to park our car outside.

It was really really nice to spend the night at Crystal Lagoon Lodge twice now. Staff is very hospitable and friendly. Nice peaceful atmosphere in the dining hall with music and the sea. Will definitely stay there again.
My husband and I spent our wedding night here. The pictures on the internet must be from years back as now the area around is quite built up which does take away from it a little bit. I would have appreciated a personal touch or greeting of some kind on arrival, or in the room as we booked it for such a special occasion. However, it was clean and did have a beautiful view. We had to skip breakfast as we met with friends and family for a good bye breakfast elsewhere so can't comment on that. Might visit again just for the stunning view, but this place unfortunately lacked atmosphere/hospitality/warmth in terms of customer service that I have gotten used to from other places.
This was the 3rd time we have stayed at Crystal Lagoon since Dec 2014 and unfortunately we found the overall feel of their service, food and rooms to have declined. The room is still beautiful with a wonderful sea view, but Crystal Lagoon is much more commercial, and has lost the 'personal touch' with their customers. Breakfast was more or less the same menu every morning, and variation would have been nice. We stayed on the 1st floor in the honeymoon suite, which is right above the outdoor dining area. You have very little privacy and people looking into your room. With the newly developed homes next to Crystal Lagoon, they can try to offer more privacy on the patio outside. For the price one pays, it would be better value for money if they put minimal self-catering facilities in your room. We enjoyed the sea view, and beach in front of the lodge most of all.
The accommodation was satisfactory, however new linen and beds are needed, the duvet inner was so clumpy and uncomfortable and the mattress can do with being replaced. The breakfast was a complete disaster having standing around for 10 plus minutes not being approached by anyone to explain how it works. No filter coffee, had to go ask for tea to be brought out, no breakfast left, had to wait for it after 20 mins. It seems its a first come first serve basis and if it's finished you have to wait for them to make you eggs and bacon and no offer of filter coffee. It completely ruined the whole experience. Staff is utterly unprofessional and unfriendly. Seems as though location and views should be all you pay for.

Stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for our wedding anniversary. It's absolutely beautiful - the view and with the sound of waves. Didn't want to go back home. Any negative comment is that the breakfast was not that fantastic compared to previous places we stayed overnight.

We enjoyed our stay there. The facilities were nice and clean and comfortable. As guests the renovation project next door was not pleasant. We understand it needs to be done. As we ourselves are involved in construction projects, we didn't expect it during our vacation, otherwise we might have booked somewhere else. The photos on the internet need to be updated as there are many other buildings around and it's not only as seen on the internet. There is very little parking and this makes it very difficult as you don't get your own parking like at many other places. You have to choose any one that is open and if it is full you have to park your car outside.

Just the following advice: The wind is extremely strong there as they will know. The clips that hold the balcony doors are completely inadequate. You can just move the little table and stones in front of the door and it won't help. They really need to practice other plan. In my opinion.a rope would work better to anchor through. We enjoy having the doors and everything open to enjoy the sea air and noise.

This is about the 7th time returning over the last few years. The location is excellent with restaurants close enough to walk to but far enough away not to be noisy. The views are amazing. The service and breakfast also very good.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. Breathtaking suite! Comfortable bed with enough pillows of good quality. Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast! We really enjoyed the accommodation! Can maybe put a better chair/bench on the balcony, so that one can enjoy the view while drinking a glass of wine - the wooden bench is quite uncomfortable! Other than that we will definitely visit again and recommend it to friends and family.
The decor in the guesthouse is remarkable and chosen with care. The friendliness of the staff did not go unnoticed.

The location and view were perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast and all the staff were very friendly. The only thing was our room was terribly hot and none of the rooms have air conditioning. There is a fan, but it didn't help. I would not recommend you to take a room without a sea view, because those rooms are very hot. At least you can open the doors in the sea front rooms. Next time I will definitely stay in the sea front rooms.

Good customer service.
We stayed for four nights. If I had known then what I know now I would have booked somewhere else for the same price. The rooms are much smaller than is shown on the pictures. Our room's shower's drain was blocked on the first day, so all the water ended up on the floor. They moved us to a different room after I told them I want to check out. There is no airconditioning in the rooms, so late afternoons it gets really hot. With the rooms with views, you can't sit on the patios or leave the doors open when the wind blows. On day 3 there was a wedding, so we couldn't relax on the patio or deck. This was actually our honeymoon, so we just tried to spend as little time there as possible. Luckily there was a lot to do in Langebaan and the other West Coast towns.
Safe and the people are very hospitable.
The service was excellent. The view and location couldn't be better. On the sand dune. You lie on the bed and see the waves below you. It was so amazing that after the 1st day I decided to book again for February 2016. Unbelievable!

This past holiday we were on the West Coast and Crystal Lagoon was definitely a highlight. The rooms and view are amazing! The breakfast was delicious. We were received kindly and their service was excellent. For all you get at this gem of a place, it's definitely value for money. I will definitely visit the lodge again!

This is definitely a place I will return to. No matter what your request is, the staff is always there to help. The waves are your alarm clock, the smell of good food helps you take a quick shower in a beautiful bathroom, even if you wanted to spend more time there. After breakfast you can go for a magical walk down the sea. Restaurants are within walking distance and to end your afternoon -sunset!

Staff were very considerate, rooms and premises very tidy and the breakfast was out of the books! Only problem for us was the shower in the room that flooded the entire floor, it's sad that you have such a nice and nice shower that can't be used, but otherwise great!

During our stay, one of the workers was injured on the stairs. It also cannot be recommended for older people. There is also no switch for the reading lights above the bed and one has to get up to turn them off. Location and Calypso Beach fantastic though!
We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with sparkling wine on the balcony. Breathtaking sunset and nice walk on the beach. We had a great time relaxing and the staff spoiled us a lot. Thank you very much Crystal Lagoon Lodge.

My mom and I attended a 60th birthday celebration. On our arrival, we were overwhelmed by the natural beauty of Langebaan. The lodge is elegant and directions to the lodge, lead us to the front door. The front-desk attendant were friendly and helpful, as she booked us in and led us to our room. Once inside, we were speechless. The view is the focal point of the room. All our needs were catered for, from two-point plugs for phones, to hairdryers and WiFi connections. We woke to waves rushing to shore on a glorious Sunday morning. Breakfast was wholesome, from eggs on toast, muesli and fresh fruit to muffins and cheese!
Marlese met us at the reception and she is wonderful! She's extremely professional and friendly and very helpful! It was such a fun experience! The room was beautiful and their hospitality bar stock was very good and very reasonably priced. We only drank water, but if we wanted a chocolate or a soft drink or even a glass of wine, there was more than enough to choose from! Then I must add, the breakfast was delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

We ended off our honeymoon at the Crystal Lagoon Lodge and it was spectacular. We had a fantastic view, the room was beautiful and very clean, the food was top of the range and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely go back for our anniversary!
Excellent view and relaxing weekend with the sound of the ocean on your doorstep ... heavenly. The room we stayed in was clean, well made up, the view was breathtaking, and the sunset was just something else! We are going back again. It would be nice if they could serve lunch and dinner also.

I think the breakfast staff was not prepared for the volumes of people during the main season. Coffee was out and there were no clean tables or cups available if you came into the dining room a little later in the morning.
Accommodation was fantastic, and the service exceptional. There is literally no better location in Langebaan! The only negative comment I can think of is that I could do with WiFi. But all-in-all it was a great experience!
Well run, wonderful situation, good clean rooms with comfortable beds. Only problem was lack of air conditioning as the room got very hot in the afternoon as the sun came over. This was not a problem when the door could be left open for the cooling sea breeze, just at night as one does not feel safe in this day and age to leave doors open whilst you sleep.

Closet space is limited, but other than that we had a lovely stay and the view is AWESOME!!!!!
I was only disappointed with the shower which had a little low water pressure. The curtain rail was also crooked and the curtain was very difficult to open and close. Some of the curtain hooks on the point were also gone. For that price it should have been fine. The room was very clean at all times and the fridge was well stocked.
We had a great stay - all that is lacking in the rooms is aircon.

Breakfast was great although we had to wait a while to be seated....think we just got them on a busy morning. Wish they offered dinner though. That would've been perfect.
