The reception area is also used as the wash room for all the linen, there wasn't even a place where we could sit. I had to call website to confirm payment (as directed by the receptionist), website informed the receptionist that proof of payment had been emailed to them some time back! The gate we had to walk through is so narrow that you basically had to lift your bags over the little wall to fit through the gate. Just to the left of the gate, all the garden rubbish lies against the wall, inside the dirty swimming pool there was a plastic chair. No hot water to shower or bathe. At 07:30 the next morning, the receptionist walked around in her night clothes among the guests, which for me is a very poor image for the lodge. I still told my wife that I was thankful we didn't decide to eat breakfast there! I was bitterly disappointed in the staff, the general condition of the facilities, no hot water etc. and will definitely never stay here again.
Think it was the owners making so much noise until after 2am. Rooms are close to each other.
On the 14th of February 2022 there was not really a problem, the room was neat and clean, the 2 sinks in the bathroom did not seal at all, and the 2nd person could not take a shower because there was not enough hot water . I booked the same room every time, when I arrived on the 28th they put me in room 6 which I didn't book, the room was terribly hot, the fan and the air conditioner didn't work, when I asked the owner why I need to use the room she told me that there was a double booking and she already put other guests in Room 7, and that was the room I booked, the next thing that happens is that there is no hot water in the shower was not, like none, they didn't even bother to fix the problem, didn't even offer us to shower in another room, they brought us another fan, that was very hot, we also couldn't lock the security door because the lock was broken so we had to close and lock the sliding door, which made it impossible to get fresh air into the room, so Cura Lodge is now closed "no brainer" for us. Make a reservation in advance for swimming pool and or braai facilities. Bog, it's a lodge - must be available to all guests.
Cura Lodge is conveniently located in Bloemfontein and the service is exceptional. Breakfast is delicious (unfortunately their power was out during our stay) which was out of their control and they apologize profusely. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The rooms are very neat and bedding very clean. It was our second time there and will definitely stay there if we come to Bloemfontein again and recommend Cura Lodge to anyone.

We could braai on our own, no distractions and people bothering us. Private, neat and very modern. Will definitely go there again, and not look for any other places. It's booked for life! Will always go there.

Only issue we had was the door leading to the other unit (or the main unit) and at 20:30 a little kid started started scooting in the unit and it was a disturbance. Later that night other guests arrived and walked to and fro in front of our window and they talked loudly, but that's not something the Lodge could do anything about. Otherwise had a great time and the reception was good. Thanks!

Perfect overnight accommodation in Bloemfontein. Close to the highway, with everything I asked for. Suzie and Belinda went out of their way to make my stay as nice as possible and even moved me to a different room to make sure I'm happy. Safe parking, clean and neat, has everything you need for overnight accommodation - from now on this is my only overnight place in Bloemfontein!
Nice spacious rooms, clean warm blankets and all. Very nice breakfast, and even evening meals ready when we got back late at night. Can honestly recommend Cura Lodge specially for an overnight stay on way to Western Cape.
Ons het daar aangekom na 8 ure op die pad en nie die “hartlike gasvryheid” ontvang soos genoem in die oorsig nie. Ons bespreking was in 'n Standard Double Room maar ons is in 'n Family Room ingedruk (so het dit gevoel!) waar opknappings nog onlangs gedoen is. 11 uur die aand het jong mense in die kamer langsaan 'n vreeslike geraas gemaak en dit het ook geklink asof iemand op die dak rondloop! Die waaier in die kamer is glad nie voldoende vir die warm Bloemfontein weer nie. Algeheel was dit glad nie ‘n goeie ondervinding nie, sal nie weer daar bly nie en sal ook niemand daarheen aanbeveel nie.
