The unit is well-equipped, quiet, and private. There are plenty of rechargeable lights to use during load-shedding. It's ideal for a single person travelling for business. The vehicle gate does not have a motor and is difficult to open, plus the vehicle entrance is in the middle of a three-way stop.
The stay was pleasant. There was just a funny smell upon initial check in that went away after a day. However, the access at the gate is problematic as it is right on a T junction and is locked. It must be opened and closed by hand. A gate car would make it safer as the pavement is also very narrow and you are standing halfway in the road causing an obstruction to traffic.
It is a pity I did not realise that the accommodation was going to be tight for three people. The shower needs to have a door not a shower curtain that flaps when you are trying to dry yourself and it is so freezing cold. The toilet door doen't close fully. Extra blankets are much needed during the winter season as it is bitterly cold in the unit. When I requested extra blankets, the owner came with one thin single blanket and a single heater blanket. There was a double bed and and a single bed in the unit. The temperature on Satuday, 8 July was a low of 6 degrees and high of 13 degrees and Sunday 9 July was a low of 6 degrees and high of 14 degrees. A plus for the unit was that the owner had an inverter.

Looks exactly like the photos. Traveled with 2 dogs, the garden area was ideal for them. Nicely fried. Everything you need is in the cupboards, drawers.

Curious Giraffe was a convenient overnight stop for us, although it was two nights, it was perfectly located and convenient for our visit in Stellenbosch.

Cute place and pet friendly. My husband and I were both unfortunately just bitten by something in bed. I was full of bite marks on my arms. Bathroom is very small, but sufficient for one or two nights.
Upon arrival, our hostess Sannelize welcomed us warmly with a big smile. The apartment had a lovely private courtyard where we barbecued. Our two dachshunds also enjoyed the stay. Thanks for that. We will stay there again in the future.
Our unit was quaint and had everything we needed. Safety was superb and there was no chance of our dogs being able to get out, which set our minds at ease. The unit was spotless, in a very quiet area of town, which we were happy about as we wanted a bit of peace and quiet. Will definitely recommend.
The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. We have 2 dogs that traveled with us and they were made to feel so welcome. Everything you can think of is available and it's centrally located near shops, garages, park, etc. we wanted to stay longer, but due to personal reasons it was unfortunately impossible. I would definitely suggest it to anyone.
Beautiful little flat. Very clean. Very comfortable. And easily accessible from the main roads. Friendly host as well. We will definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed that we were private from the main house and that we could come and go as we pleased. The only negative thing that we had was it was very hot and the fan didn’t help much. Maybe consider putting an air-con in.

Conveniently located and tidy. Just what you need for a day or 2's stay.
We felt safe and if we had more time we could easily scrub the nest. We were there during a heat wave, and a fan would have helped, but it was still nice and cool because the apartment is under a big acorn tree. The hostess came to greet us and was really very nice.
We made use of the guest house because we had an early meeting in Stellenbosch. The room was well equipped with everything we needed. It is walking distance from Soar and MediClinic.

Lovely place to stay and loved the modern and funky interior. Although smallish, the place got everything you need, including DStv, Wi-Fi and a cosy braai area. Also very close to 'Die Boord' shops and town.
We were pleasantly surprised by Curious Giraffe! Although the place is small, it is perfectly adequate for 2 people, it is neat, modern, well located, well equipped, safe and very central. We will definitely use it again and definitely recommend it.

This accommodation was ideal for my purpose. Extremely comfortable and convenient!!
Certainly with the SuperSpar in the neighborhood it is one super address. Despite the fact that the room is small, everything is present. Recommendation: Purchase comfortable garden chairs so that you can sit comfortably outside!
It's a very neat little place but I found the mattress a little uncomfortable. I didn't like the toilet which is basically inside the bedroom. The sliding door is not sufficient. The owners can easily consider an exhaust fan for the toilet. The place smelled badly of smoke due to inconsiderate guests who stayed there before us. The owner tried her best to reduce the smell but for us non-smokers it was still very unpleasant. Our pajamas even smelled of smoke the next morning.
