Cussonia Cottage offers comfortable accommodation in a self-catering cottage, situated on a working timber farm in Magoebaskloof. The cottage offers beautiful views of the Wolkberg mountains, and is surrounded by indigenous 'mountain cabbage' trees that gives Cussonia Cottage its name. The cottage sits high on a hilltop, and looks down over mixed indigenous montane forest as well as pine and gum plantations all the way to Haenertsburg in the distance.

The cottage can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and the second bedroom contains a double bed. The second bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower. The cottage comprises a kitchen and an open-plan lounge and dining area. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, microwave, gas stove, oven, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and there is a fireplace in the lounge for the winter evenings. Guests have access to braai facilities and secure parking.

The rare pockets of indigenous forest are frequented by rare species such as Samango monkey, Long-crested eagle, duiker and bush buck. Guests are welcome to wander and walk around the farm's gardens, wild grassland, plantations and indigenous forest. The gardens are often visited by Knysna Loeries, double-collared sunbirds, and other rarities, which is ideal for birdwatchers.
