Cybele Lodge is a unique home set amid 4-acres of indigenous gardens in the Everton Conservancy, South Africa’s oldest urban conservancy. Bushbuck, duiker, bushpig, and caracal, are but a few of the animals that roam the property. The birdlife is also exceptional, with crowned eagles, sunbirds, turacos, woodpeckers, owls, herons, and many other species visiting daily. Cybele Lodge is only 28 km from the Durban beachfront, 50 km from King Shaka International Airport, 3 km from Makaranga Botanical Gardens, and 6 km from Krantzkloof. The lodge is owner-run by a husband and wife team, who look forward to welcoming you to their home.

We had a lovely stay. Andrea is such a nice and welcoming hostess. The home feels like you are in your own forest and you cannot believe you are so close to city life! The breakfast was delicious. The fur-babies are adorable and welcome you like long lost family!
We had a wonderful experience at Cybele Lodge. The Lodge is far enough from the busy inner city, and close enough to local stores and tourist attractions. The room was immaculate and the cleanliness was assuring. The comfort of the accommodation was as a home away from home. Complete privacy was given when entering and exiting the lodge. The ambiance created in the indigenous area with natural habitat for wildlife created a breath-taking and tranquil setting. The owner of the lodge personally handled all the Covid-19 protocols in a very professional manner. All social distancing and wearing of masks were adhered to, and sanitiser was available in the accommodation. The room has its own security alarm system installed. We most definitely recommend Cybele Lodge and view it as one of the top places we have stayed at and will certainly return when in the area again. Thank you for the memorable stay!
The place is very clean and tidy. The garden is also very beautiful and the surroundings have some nice walking trails. I would recommend Cybele Lodge.
