33 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay. There was just no catch for the TV and I feel it was slightly falsely advertised. We couldn't go into the pool area at all, not that we wanted to swim, but just wanted to check it out. The hostess was very friendly and answered immediately and was able to check out earlier and a little later. Have a nice stay.
Cycads is value for money.

Everything was very easy, clean and convenient, from check-in to check-out! The owner is also very friendly, and one feels right at home! Will definitely visit again!
We will definitely book with Cycads again. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the lovely garden and lovely swimming pool. The house was neat and comfortable. Walking distance from a nice seafood cafe. There is a lot of open water in the garden, which is something to keep in mind with young children.

The blinds on all the rooms let the light in, day and night, so sleep was disturbed and was no chance of a sleep in. The one twin bed was in the open plan area, which left little privacy, which was not disclosed. Only one towel given per guest for a 3 day stay. The jacuzzi is not attached to the cottage, but to the main house, so the pictures are a bit misleading. The crockery and cutlery could be updated. The price and the garden, as well as proximity to Hermanus is its saving grace. With a little bit of attention to detail, it could be a better venue.
The children really enjoyed the garden and swimming. Will definitely go again.
We really enjoyed our stay there. The kids was so excited to be there. We just love the place.
I would only recommend installing burglar bars in front of windows. I didn't feel safe at all and it would also help to reduce the musty smell if you could leave windows open when you go out. The toilet is very close to the sink and people with long legs face a problem like my daughter's friend. I love the fairy garden and thanks to the gardener who helped us when there was a problem. Roelin was not at home but she and I quickly sorted everything out over the phone as the previous guests had left late and the place was not ready when we had to enter. Thanks also to the cleaner who then had to clean everything quickly and the place was very tidy when we moved in.
It was so peaceful. The garden is something to experience.
I loved that i didn't have to worry about entertaining my kids. It was so relaxing and tranquil being surrounded by lush trees and nature. Will definitely be back!

There are some problems around the house that will freak some people out like the spiders and watersnakes around the swimming pool. We saw a mongoose the one night. It has the potential to ruin someone's holiday if they're scared of things like that.

Everything that we needed was there and we had a lovely peaceful weekend. Just 2 things: couch in living room was not sturdy and we did not sit on it after it gave a few nasty creaks and bath water runs out very quickly - plug needs to be fitted properly, but otherwise superb value for money. Would definitely book there again.
Everything was comfortable and nice. A washing machine would have been nice. The grounds are amazing and the children had a great time.
My friends are I very pleased with Cycads Self-catering 6. We had an incredible time. The customer service was very good. I will definitely recommend it to others. If I can make one recommendation it'd be to get someone to perk up the grounds a bit. Other than that, we were very happy with everything. Nice stay, thank you LekkeSlaap.
Being a winter getaway, we booked the accommodation because of the fact that there was a warm pool - to our surprise the water was cold. When asking the owner about the temperature of the pool we were told that the temperature was dependent on the weather - this is false advertising. The TV was so old that we could not see the picture (everything was purple). The DStv was not working and this was only sorted out late the Friday night by the owner's son. The outside light was not working and when I asked the son whether he is able to fix this - I was told that he was unfortunately not a handyman (disappointing). The accommodation accommodates 6 people - the eating table only accommodates for 4 people. Being a 6 sleeper it was very uncomfortable only having 1 bathroom. The pool area is too close to the main house.
An easy to find, serene and tranquil self-catering accommodation, close to all amenities (shops, town, beach, harbour). The accommodation is fully equipped and very tidy. A lovely open and large space for 6 adults. The outside is very spacious to picnic or have meals outside and the swimming pool is suitable for children, as well as the heated pool. I would definitely return with my family and friends.
Interesting town with many things to see. There are a lot of restaurants with delicious dishes. The weather was wonderfully warm. I would definitely recommend and visit again.
Leafy, cool garden, the jacuzzi was a big plus - when my teenaged kids weren't at the beach they were in the jacuzzi. This little place has everything you need, coffe, sugar and delicious rusks was a nice bonus. Wonderful security. Such a relaxing, peaceful place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is on a large plot, to one side of the owners' house and very private. The garden is beautiful with many shade trees which will be especially nice in the summer. The interior decoration is modern and tasteful and the barbecue patio perfect. The DStv channels were sparse and a hairdryer would have been handy. We will stay here again!
The place had no blankets when it suddenly got cold. The kitchen's equipment is also very limited. There are no bowls with lids etc.
The place is very neat and nicely furnished. Nice atmosphere among all the beautiful plants. Perfect location, nice and quiet and in a good environment.
